As I wax eloquent and continue to post scads of information over in the World thread I'd like to take this opportunity to make life a little easier on you all. You may, of course, read everything I post if you feel so inclined. On the other hand unless something is germane to your character don't feel like you
must read everything. In fact it can be a fun roleplaying device if you
don't read things outside each other's general or class knowledge because then you can roleplay imparting information as you go along.
Also, as we go along and we get most of the basic information about our particular world posted the frequency of posts should drop off. Beyond posting basic and general information I will tend to only post specific things as they become necessary to know (unless I get bored and then you never know what may happen).

No reason to.

I've posted now.
Generally speaking if there's a group of people here, I don't mind if things move on while I am not here. It's better to have that, than have the game stall waiting for one person to post something.

Another plus to insisting on daily posting by everyone. That way it's really hard to get behind. But, regardless, I will try to make sure that characters don't get left out of things.

One thing I've noticed is that Longman and I are on opposite sides of the world, and I suspect Mint is somewhere in the middle... merry ol' Angland. Because not everyone will be posting from the same timezone or continent, it'll be easier to keep things moving and retcon replies if needed.

I totally agree with that : I don't have a stable schedule and will be posting sometimes at 3AM, sometimes at 8AM, or in the afternoon.

It's easier than you might think to keep with the flow of events. When anyone posts all they need do is see if everyone else has posted before making a major change in the story. Incidences of that happening should be fairly few in any event since, as GM, I will have a hand in how the story progresses.

Woe: Hi King! <stab>
Mint: Rocks fall, everyone dies!
Longman, about eight hours later: Wait! I would have parried that!

I just realized I need to chose a second language for my character. Do they speak the same "common" everywhere in the realms, or there is different languages ? If so, I'll chose one of those, let me know which I can choose.
