Part Five: The Hunters and the Hunted

The Ranger turns and moves through the town keeping to the shadows until he makes it to the forest then he seems to vanish. He turns to the west and begins to walk moving unseen as only a ranger can do.

There is a vague sense of fear emanating from the forest around him, but nothing that he can clearly discern.

[Nightwulf]

Akarrus,being one to always trust his instincts,stops virtually invisible in the shadow of a tree. He listens for anything out of the ordinary while scanning his surroundings for movement. Hidden under his cloak he moves his hand toward the hilts of his daggers and draws them halfway out of the sheath he waits ready to fight or run if the occasion should arise.

Akarrus doesn't see anything, and he doesn't feel any immediate danger. He just has a slight feeling of uneasiness.

[Nightwulf]

"Hmm." he frowns under his mask and keeps moving through the forest alert for danger.

[-1warrior]

The forest remains silent around him.

(Guys, I need the rest of you to set out now)

You travel along for a considerable part of the day, before turning back around, and heading back towards the town using circuitous routes, in an effort to avoid any civilization. By the time you believe that you are slightly north of the town, it is mid-afternoon.

Akarrus seems to materialize out of the shadows. He walks over to the rest of the group and stands there wrapped in his dappled grey green cloak without saying anything.

Haldor sits up and twirls his pipe. Right then, ready to be off?

Meeting north of town along the path, the companions continued on. At last they came in sight of Gerald. He raised his hand in greeting.
