"Very well" says Gerald "When I left my home, I traveled to the East, to the coast. There I found myself in a large port city. There I found passage aboard a merchant vessel which was set to sail across the sea to a distant land. I was hired to work as a marine aboard the ship. We set sail a few days later. It was a long and hard Journey. We fought off many creatures of the deeps, and pirates to boot. But at last, weary and maimed, we arrived at our destination. It was a similarly large city. There we disembarked, and unloaded our cargo-tons of raw fish. I was given my pay, and I set off once again, in search of adventure."

"Wait, You took large quantities of raw fish on an oceanic voyage over a long and hard journey, and none of it went bad?" Haldor says disbelievingly. "and was it really worth it? I mean there's plenty of fish in the sea." sorry, continue.

"Do not ask me to explain the reasoning of those who worked the ship."

"Very well. So, as I was saying, I was now on my own in a foreign land, without any companions. A bad situation assuredly. And so, I began searching for a way to earn some coinage."
