Ah a wonderful device of my own concoction. One very nearly got me kicked out of college! (Haldor explains how the firebomb is made) of course there are many things to be done which make them all the more potent! Sadly I've never had the resources to experiment. I could make one probably, given time and ingredients, these ingredients in fact ( Haldor tells Gerald all the ingredients he would need)

And really it's simple alchemy any novice could try and do it. Of course some may say that it is not "wise" to build such a thing in an uncontrolled environment! But I say " hey, why not!"

Akarrus walks in from outside.

"I don't personally have all those ingredients" says Gerald.

"Well there's always next time" he says cheerfully

"So, do you have any other ideas?"

Hmm now that you mention it I believe that it would be possible for each of us to leave town in different directions taking care to make footprints until we come across a stream. then each individual walks a mile down the stream and stealthily return to town through the wilderness and we all leave in one direction. If my estimates are correct that should fool our pursuers long enough to escape.

"That seems like a viable plan. But where is your third companion?"

Lys clears her throat. "Right here."
