He returns a moment later, carrying a wrapped bundle. "Here you go" he says "that will be five gold."

Lys lifts an eyebrow. "Five gold? How many sticks are in there?" then she sighs and lets it go, handing the man five gold pieces before exiting the store with a pleasant and polite nod.

On returning to the Inn she makes her way up to her room and enters, locking the door behind her.

Opening her wrapped package she looks inside to be sure she at least received what she paid for.

Lys finds ten fragrant sticks of incense within the bundle. They are made out of a waxy cream-shaded substance.

Lys smiles delightedly at the sticks. Lifting one delicately she holds it just under her nose and inhales just the slightest bit. "I will have to thank the merchant for his generosity." she murmurs to herself. Placing the stick back down she wraps the package back up and places it carefully into her backpack next to her prayer beads. Having done this she pulls her prayer beads back out and once again communes in prayer with Hallabey.

As Lys sat on the bed, she suddenly heard the sound of footfalls from somewhere outside (through the window, which was open a bit).

Shaken from her reverie by the sound of the footfalls, Lys rises from the bed and moves carefully to window, peering out it from an angle so as not to be seen.

As Lys looks out, she sees a cloaked figure disappear around the back of the inn.

Frowning, Lys picks up her room key and, locking the door behind her, heads down the stairs and into the common room, looking about for a way around to the rear. Failing this she goes to the front door and peers out to see if anyone with a cloak can be seen walking up or down the street.

Lys doesn't spot another exit. When she looks out the door she can't see anyone.

Lys looks in both directions down the road and, seeing nothing, sighs in perplexity. Shaking her head she re-enters the common room and goes up to Matthew behind the bar. "Did you see a cloaked figure go by here just now? I heard footsteps outside my window and when I looked I saw a cloaked figure who disappeared around the side. When I came down and looked outside I saw no one." Lys hesitates for a second, looking at Matthew closely, "Also, I came here to meet an individual who had a business proposition for me. Though what anyone could think that a priestess would go into business with them for is beyond me. Has anyone mentioned wanting to meet me by chance?"
