Lys finishes up her bread and stew and washes them down with the last of her water. Looking at the other two she says, "If you two are nearly done I guess we should head out to that clearing about now."

Lys nods, reaches up with both hands to gather her hair together and pull it back behind her head, then stands and stretches, arching her back and tilting her head back.

"Ah!" she says, "That's better."

As it is summertime and still early Lys leaves her cloak in her room and heads for the door, leading the way through the press of people in the common room.

The companions slowly headed out into the evening light. The sky was slowly darkening. At the moment it was a purple hue. They followed the directions that Matthew had given them, and were soon on the path towards the hollow. Insects buzzed about, and Mosquitos swarmed in clouds.

As Lys walked along she looked about her, taking in the surroundings. She loved the outdoors and walking under the stars at night. The sounds about her fascinated her, reminding her of her childhood living deep in the forest.

Now if only those mosquitos would stop taking such an interest in her skin. Lys picked up her pace, deciding that the sooner they got to the hollow and met whoever they were going to meet and got back to the inn the sooner the little bloodsuckers would stop dining on her.

Akarrus walks hooded and cloaked in front of the group. He watches the edge of woods for signs of trouble. He listens to the birds keeping an ear out for any distress calls. As he walks his mind wanders. He thinks back to a happier time when he was young...like that summer day when he and his sister...He forces his mind back to the present and continues walking in silence.

After ten-some minutes if quietly padding along, the companions reached the hollow. A ring of large deciduous trees (of various types) bordered the clearing. Foliage grew in clumps here and there, while tall grass filled in the gaps. The sun had fully set at this point, and the moon was rising, bright on full on this night. Many stars were visible. The woods were mostly silent, except for the slight sound of insects. Fireflies could be seen flashing in the air. There was no one in sight, until a figure emerged from behind a tree, and strode into the clearing. It was covered in a brown cloak. He raised his hand into the air, and said "Hail, allies, and well met."

From the edge of the clearing Lys looked on, waiting.
