This is where all the things pertaining to character creation and editing will go. This includes character sheets.


Here is a list of all the things I am allowing in my game:

Gnome (from supplement)
Half-Elf (from supplement)

Sorry, no Half-Orcs or Half-Ogres.

Classes:

Cleric
Fighter

Magic-User
Fighter/Magic-user
Ranger

The only combination class allowed is Fighter/Magic-user, which is only available to elves and half-elves. Dwarf Rangers are not allowed. The Ranger class is the one designed by Chris Gonnerman, and on the downloads page. Also, I'm not using the Thieve's Options supplement. I am using the 0 level spells and the Equipment Emporium supplements.

Character Creation:

You each get 65 points to divide up among your ability scores.

You start out at first level, with maximum hit points. Each level thereafter you gain average hit points.

You each start with 120 gold pieces to by equipment and supplies.

Remember, I will be vigilant. No cheating! (Sorry, my players cheat so much that I'm paranoid).

I would like the party to have one spellcaster. It doesn't matter which type, though a magic-user may save your skins (just saying...).

I just wanted to let everyone know that there are quite a few things that don't exist in the campaign world. Here they are:

I wanted you to know. You are all free to find and upload pictures to represent your characters. Just make sure you put the picture in your character sheet post.

Background:

At the Holy Mother's request to join her, Lys rose from her meditations, donned her flowing white robe and, on swift bare feet, hurried to the Sanctum.

The Sanctum was a circular colonnaded chamber open to the skies in the center of which was a shallow round reflecting pool. As Lys entered she saw the Holy Mother sitting cross-legged on her cushion beside the starlit water. With quiet grace the young acolyte knelt beside the older woman and bowed her head in reverence.

After a moment of silence Altia, Holy Mother and High Priestess of Hallabey spoke, "Child."

"Holy Mother," Lys acknowledged.

"What do you see in the pool child?"

Opening her eyes, Lys looked into the pool for a moment and said, "Holy Mother I see the quiet, soft light of the stars. The soft light that is hope despite the storm, wisdom despite the tempest, and the returning of life despite the hurricane."

"Child?", asked Altia softly.

"Yes Holy Mother?" asked Lys.

"Are you ready to test what you know in the world outside these walls?"

"I...I do not know Holy Mother." the young woman answered.

Altia chuckled and said, "Look at me Lys."

Lys looked up and Altia smiled.

"Lys. You are ready. From the day your parents brought you to us with your shining silver hair and your silver-blue eyes I knew that our Lady had chosen you as Hers. I have watched you grow in beauty and in strength. In grace and in wisdom. You have been a daughter to me and I watch you leave with both pride and sorrow. Follow where the Lady leads. Give hope where it is needed. Be wise when others are foolish. Heal those that need it. And above all else..."

There was a pause and Lys asked, "Yes Holy Mother?"

Altia leaned close with a twinkle in her eye and whispered, "...and above all else use that quarterstaff you're so good with and kick some evil butt." With a wink the Holy Mother straightened up and said, "Prevention is, after all, the best medicine." With a warm hug Altia said, "Now. Off you go dear one."

Background: Growing up in Foamouth, Haldor Lived with six older brothers, and a father who was always locked up in the highest room of the house, always buried in his books doing only the gods know what. His father did however make a rather large amount of money so they lived in a nice district of the city right on the the sea. He was always fascinated with it and loved to watch the waves rolling in from unknown lands.His father however was a Wizard and his six uncles and older brothers were wizards so instead of being allowed to go out and explore he was locked inside, forced to study the words of long dead men from far away places that no longer exist.

It was in his academical studies that Haldor really excelled far exceeding all his brothers in every field constantly correcting his teachers and generally being a know-it-all.

Eventually he decided that he had learned all he could with his teachers there and decided to leave seeking secrets and mystery. His fellow students were so pleased to see the back of him they provided him with a small sum of gold, only on the condition that he doesn't come back.

Haldor's favourite spell is sleep, and when I fail to mention which spell he has revised it will be sleep.
