((Sorry about all the delays I just haven't had much the will to post. Lets see if I can turn that around))

Looking through the doorway in the side of the spiraling stairwell you see a large hall before you. A large vaulted ceiling can be barely made out by the glow of your light and the walls appear to be covered in murals from what you can see.

What are the murals of? If it looks safe, Hrothgar will continue down the hallway.

Sim, a suspicious sort, follows Hrothgar, looking for evidence of false floors, hidden doors, hidden arrow slits, murder holes down which oil can be poured, the Loch Ness monster, tripwires, vast armies of Orcs, the usual.

He has his bow strung and an arrow nocked

Gladevar follows in with a short sword in his hand.

Gemshort sniffs the walls and licks the rock. He'll let the hairs on his arm and the smoke from the torch tell him which way the air is moving. He sniffs the air wondering if anything has been this way recently.

Jaq muses, "Human-made, eh? Oh well."
"Hey! Wait for me!" he calls and hurries after the others.
Rushing into the hallway he's distracted by the murals. "Oh, pretty pictures. Hey bring that torch back here."

Walking through the room you now see that both the walls, ceiling, and the floor are all covered in a series of tile mosaics. Many are damaged beyond recognition and others are covered with decades (perhaps centuries) worth of graffiti. Images that stand out to you include; images of the gods and goddesses with their eyes chipped out, a vast herd of horses running through a field, over which is written "Cardefal died here pulling on a lever. Beware!!"; underwater scenes featuring half-human half-fish creatures fighting fishmen and sharks, with vulgar graffiti adding certain anatomical details; and a scene depicting a halfling, a dwarf and to humans descending a set of familiar spiral stairs. On each wall in front of you and to your left and right a hallway leads away in the darkness.

"Hmpf. That last scene is too close to home."

Looking farther into the darkness, can H. see anything within the next 60'?

Within the range of your vision you can see the entire chamber and several feet out into corridors that branch off from the wall ahead of you, to your left, and to your right.
