She says as little as possible, after her outburst. She mentions that you could come back and deliver meat in winter, when it in in short supply.
Anna is quite certain the woman is lying for much of the time. Her actual intention is to move on as fast as possible as soon as you have gone.
Are you (Anna) back down now or is the encounter still occurring?

Yeah, I think Anna should head back down. Without even a name to go on, she doesn't have much to follow up with here. Inconvenient dice rolling.

She could even be the hag for all Anna can discern.
Back to the original plan, upriver we go. Point noted about the whatevers flying at dusk through dawn. After hearing the tale, the rangers (and Kilian) will look for places earlier in the day and curtail any long marches they have planned. The goal is to be hidden safely away before dusk starts.
Here's why playing evil is easier. Lop off her head, take it back to the marshal, and present it as the hag. Mission accomplished!

Hmmmm...says Coll when you get back down. That could be Morwenna Miles. She went missing some years back, from Conis Water, after her husband died in his sleep. Folks always did think she was w witch. That red hair probably didn't help her.
OK so you were at 4EP down.
The river continues to D03 on the south side of the hills. I figure you would spend the remaining 2EP in there looking for a good campsite.
Or stay here and figure out what to do about Morwenna.

Mystery solved!
"The poor woman." says Anna as she hands over ownership back to the DM. "She still feels hunted. I wish we could help her."
"Morwenna has made her life here. She's managed to survive all these years and that's no mean feat. Let's leave her be for now, and honor her request for fresh meat if we come back this way 'ere winter." replies Talin. He nods at Caradoc, who gives the order to move out to D03 and find a nice place to spend the night.

Well, nothing happens overnight in the new hex.
As predicted, the storm comes in the night and the next day it is still pouring with very cold rain from the north, with more fronts coming in all the time.
""It is the hag", mutters Ysa superstitiously. "Driving us away."
I'll ask for a save vs paralyzation if you want to move on today. If you fail, you are weakened, and will be at -2 on most actions.
No one has any clear idea of when it will clear up. Small creeks feeding the Erin to the north are flowing fast by morning.

"It's the east wind blowing moisture off the mountaintops, same as every winter." observes Talin. "Nothing magical or ill about rain in September."
Roll away, unless the -2 will persist beyond a single day. Rangers scoff at sniffles, and the dwarf won't even admit he's sniffly.

Are you current saves up to date? Kilian rolled a 5, I think he failed.
Anna failed. Caradoc failed. Coll failed. Talin failed. Ysa failed.
The dogs are both fine.
Um....you sure we want to do this, Talin, says Caradoc. W
e could all catch chills out here.

You are a terrible roller. You are fired! All of them?!
Talin tries to think of a strong answer but ends up sneezing instead. "Let's get more wood on the fire and see if we can all get healthy by tomorrow.

Yes, all of them.
You guys would have made it into E04 before you had to make saves. That was where you stopped and made a new camp.
You sit around on the 15th of September trying to stay dry and warm. There are absolutely no encounters. No sign of goblins having been anywhere near here in a long time. Slightly fewer animals than you would expect but you can still eat OK.
Nothing happens overnight. The next day the weather is improved greatly, and you may continue. Start in E04.

Wonderful. Next stop, the source of the Erin! Back to the original plan. Let's see how far we get.
Any sign of those helhawks that Morwenna warned about, either at night or while traversing the hex(es)?
