Oh...I was prepared to be nice to you about the gear but if you want to add that in as an RP thing, I'll give you some extra EXP for thinking of that.
The most logical thing you would leave behind is cooking equipment and blankets. I've just noticed that you don't have any winter blankets listed - you should really have them on you. So, the cookpot and the blankets are left behind.
You push east and find the path again after some mucking around trying to get your bearings...3.5 EP spent in total today. You are in L03. Nothing happens even despite your thorough search. (This hex is now totally explored). There do not seem to be any new behir tracks around here - although this was the same hex when you saw the tracks the very first time.
Do you go back for your gear? - That will cost you .5 EP to get it and you'll be in L02 again. But it is back towards where you last saw the behir.

Yeah, we'll have to go back. If you're okay with it can I retroactively spend whatever you think is fair for a set of bed rolls. I just looked and surprisingly can't find them in the Core rulebook or the Equipment emporium.
The group will head back, slowly and carefully to L02, and quietly collect their gear. (3 EP spent)
As soon as they've recovered it they'll head back to L03 (4 EP spent), then carve some new territory up into the forest at M03 (even if the tree is just an artist's touch on the map, we'll head that way). 1EP into the hex, then the final EP for a small bit of exploring and finding a camp site.

They are listed as winter blankets. They each weight 3 pounds and cost 1 gp.
I have fudged something out of the last few posts about what you did with the rest of the day because that got pretty confused. I've said that you did spend 3EP exploring L03, and found nothing. Then you went back to L02 and reclaimed your stuff for .5 EP. That makes 4 in total for the day so far.
While doing that, you spot behir and deer tracks in the area. This is no great surprise. Then, Cholum makes the all important follow tracks roll...and he rolls a 30. That's a success!
It looks like the behir gave up on following the deer pretty soon after it ran past your camp, and it and turned back north west. The tracks go in the direction of M02.
You can follow the tracks for a mile or so before you have to re-roll, which will mean that you have entered M02, and spent another .5 EP.
So far the behir and its tracks have been seen in L02, L03, and you saw a mangled deer in K02. It's pretty obvious this path is some kind of hunting area for the creature.
(The tree is just an icon. The whole place is covered in trees....)

Have lead, will follow.
Cholum will insist on following the tracks while he has them. Chevo, dubious at best agrees, but stays around 10m behind Cholum in case he has to book it and let the foolish ranger take the fall. Chevo is secretly jealous that Cholum can spot the tracks so easily, and continuously looks down at them as if confirming what Cholum had declared previously.
The group will follow the tracks for 1EP. (That makes 5 total right?) If signs are looking like greater Behir activity without finding some kind of lair, the group will spend the last EP and cut it EAST into N02 to close off the day.

. stuff like this is why I love one-on-one role play.
You enter M02 and the tracks keep going. Cholum rolls another success and can follow them further into hex M02. They look to be heading along a small gulley, heading north-east towards N01. The tracks are only about 4-6 hours old, he thinks. There are some small hills in N01, not shown on the map, as they are only about 300' high. The gulley goes right into them.
There is 1EP left of regular play today. Technically you did spend an extra .5 EP exploring last night - but seeing as you spent much of the day holed up waiting, so you could go back and get your stuff, I think you can keep going here. Another 1.5 EP sounds fair.

Live big or stay home.
The group will follow the tracks into N01, carefully and slowly. If they get the slightest inkling of danger they'll back away, or shift into M01 depending on the positioning.
Similar marching order as before, Cholum ~15m ahead of Chevo, followed by Milly, with Thann holding the rear, everyone with shortbows/slings where applicable.

Into N01, towards the hills...
You lose the tracks. They cross a rocky area and disappear. You think they are headed right into the hills to the north, but you are unsure.
That cost an EP. You have .5 remaining and it is now getting dark. The rain is starting to get really annoying and shows no no signs of stopping this evening. This wilderness is big and this creature is proving elusive.

The group will try to find some shelter and set up camp with their last .5EP. Milly will take a short first watch if there it's still enough light, otherwise the dwarves will take ~2.5hr watches starting with Chevo, then Cholum then Thann.

The dice are quiet. Nothing happens overnight. You camp in a small overhang.
Next morning and...it is overcast with weak sun every now and again. Less cold too.
It is the 15th...a Thursday. You set out on Monday the 12th so you have used 3 days food - except Cholum who doesn't need food provided he takes a rest / hunt day one day in every seven.
You are in N01. You lost the tracks last night.

Alright, time for some searching.
"I'm not gonna fail me father! We're gonna find that blasted Behir den so we can bring out the clansmen and clear it out for the future good of Greyforge!" Chevo says excitedly in the morning.
"Aye," Cholum nods in agreement.
The party will give N01a thorough 3EP searching, with Cholum trying to find traces of the Behir. If they don't find anything, the group will cut south into N02 and do the same, a thorough 3EP search followed by camping out for the night.
