Sorry, bad storm took out my internet. I'm back but will be spotty posting for a bit.

The party will back up to 100 yards, drop, and fire at the ivy mass. It feels like a crapshoot. Is there any target or is it just a mass of ivy? I'm mentally picturing the mass of ivy is a tree fort (or hunting blind) and they'll be shooting at wooden walls.

Talin doesn't shoot -- he'll do what he can to cleanse the wound.

OK so you were all at 80 yards and are now at 100 yards, still 20 yards from the cover behind you. You are going to make a hard target anyway, in the grass.

Freya's first shot confirms your suspicions. Your hear the distinct sound of the arrow thudding into wood behind the ivy.

Kilian's crossbow bolt does likewise. Anna's arrow thuds into wood work as well. (Anna is here, right?)

You now think the tree-house is at least 15' long and may even stretch between two trees. It sounds pretty solid.

Talin tries to scrape some poison out with a rag? What is the process exactly? Similar efforts did not work for Freya.

This won't do, firing at a hard and obscure target. Retreat!

The party will back up 30 yards (now 130 yards total). I believe that is a double move (60') at half speed because they are crouched, and they don't have an opportunity to fire. Correct?

Yeah, that works. You retreat during what is probably their reloading round anyway, and no shots are fired at you. You are back in the trees 130 yards from the treehouse and you can't be hit from here.

Round 3 - what do you do? No sign of the poison working yet.

And oops, I just realized I forgot about the poison too. Can Fido clean the wound?

I'll take the lull to back up further, ideally disengage. Once they're further away, Kilian will start assembling the catapult. As for the poison treatment, Talin will try to remove all residue and then flush with water.

Ok, more seriously, they'll disengage and then see if there's a better angle they can attack from.

You have heard nothing from the treehouse and you all all holding in the woods for the time being. Talin gets some of the goo out and wasn't feeling too bad in rounds 4 and 5, but then the poison starts kicking in anyway.

He loses an additional 6 hit points and is feeling dizzy and a bit nauseous (-2 on all rolls for a while), but is basically OK. This is much better than Freya fared.

You were approaching from the west, where there is an open grassy break between you and the treehouse. It is on the edge of a thicker wood. You could sneak around the break and approach the treehouse from either north or south, or, even go right into the woods and them come back at it from the eastern side.

Hmm... is there much chance that the ivy or wood would be ignited with fire arrows? I'm not too willing to go into this if it's a fair fight, or worse, with the bowmen behind walls.

The weather has been pretty dry, but even still, you'd be lucky to set solid wood and dense ivy on fire with burning arrows.

If we approach from the thicker wood (eastern side?) then we'd have the advantage of dense cover, correct? That'd help on both the sneaking rolls as well as missile fire. Is there a tactical difference between approaching from the east, north, or south?
