Wednesday, August 13. Please start your food tally from now.
You head into the woods at C32 and spend 2EP there. You find...nothing much at all. Hunting for tracks in this area yields nothing, really. Not even many large animals in the region. There';s old farmland which is being steadily overgrown with oak and other kinds of trees.
Then you push down into C33 and once again, zilch. Tracking rolls in the area do reveal an actual path leading down towards D33 that has been in use recently (within the last month). No indication of how many people, or which way they were going.
How do you spend your last 3EP of the day? (You now have 7 on average - 3 party members gained one at 3rd level and Tiana has 8 anyway).

By noon of the first day, Talin remarks how quicker the party (of six) moves through the outland than their first months. "It's quite amazing... this far would have taken us a day or more before."
Kilian harmlessly grumbles, "Well yeah, it's slower when you're hauling around dead lizards and a bunch of firewood."
I forgot the original move rate was six! I was fixed on four, since that was the long haul back with the "dead lizards and firewood."
How do you spend your last 3EP of the day?
Only one EP left after 3 hexes * 2 EP/hex. I was thinking a route more like C32-C31-D31 (and camp under the lone pine); D32, D33, and by then something will have happened.

Damn it, man. If you'd wanted that route specifically, you could have said so. But you left it open, so you've gone the way I said.
You are in C33 and have found a path. You have spent 2 EP in 2 hexes and
you have 3 EP left. What dd you do with them? (No instructions for tomorrow, it gets too confusing. A day at a time works best, or at least finishing the day we are on).

It's ok. I wasn't expecting to take off quite yet. I still need to shop for food. I'll just assume that Tiana got lost, they ended up in C33 unexpectedly, and the event will never be spoken about again due to quiet threats muttered in dark elvish.
Tell me more about this path. Does it lead toward Widow's Peak or away from it?

You can have bought food on the way to CD. Just note down how much you want.
You are many miles from Widow's Peak and can't even see it right now. (Incidentally all the evidence you have suggests they were going to 013, rather than WP). The path goes roughly SE, and WP is NE. It looks like it used to be a well known footpath and is even paved in a few spots, but has fallen into disuse. There is likely to be a ruined farm at the end of it.
I'm now assuming you wanted to be more NE in direction so you move into D32, Again there is nothing much here. However, tracking rolls reveal the carcass of a deer which looks like it has had a lot of the best meat removed by someone who knew what they were doing. After that, it was buried but Fido and Talin found it anyway. That was maybe a week and a half ago, maybe more.
Freya finds the tracks of two humans who went from the site and headed northward into D31.
The land around here is not true Boldenwald - which doesn't really start until the hills at 'J' and 'K', and then more properly at 'T' and 'U'. It is semi-open woodland, grassland, weeds, quite bad soil. A rate of 2EP is allowing you a good chance to find tracks and so forth in this kind of terrain.
Where do you camp after that? Same hex? You have 1EP left.

Let's camp early for the night, and get an early start tomorrow where the party heads toward D31.

Wednesday night camping - nothing happens.
Thursday - sun comes out, you get some light mist in the morning.
D31 = Lone Pine. In fact there is a rather obvious large pine tree on a hill in its own.
You follow the tracks of the two men for a few miles. They are headed towards the junction between E31 and D30. Then you lose them. All you have after that is a rough idea which way they were going (NE). There are no encounters.
Still in D31, 2EP down. Which way now?

Might as well continue NE, and slow down to spend more time trying to get the trail again. Go Fido!

Moving into E31 - you find the remains of some drystone walls and a small stream crossing with a fishing weir. No other encounters.
After that you spend much of that sunny afternoon (3EP) trying to relocate the trail of the two men. Again, Freya is the one who eventually finds the footprints and the ranger is starting to get a little embarrassed. The trail heads north from here, towards Big Beech (E30).
You move to the edge of E30 with 2EP left in the day. You are still on their trail. You want to keep going?

Yep! My "time to set camp" knows no hex boundary.
The party will take the time to ensure they aren't being tracked or followed themselves though.
