Are the days by coach or by foot? If by coach, what is the fee?

Awesome map!
How is religion set up in this world? Is the lack of divine magic because: the gods walked away from peoplekind (Dragonlance), divine magic never existed and religion is just a façade of another power structure', hunted down and eliminated by a rival faction?
I'm thinking a bit about Kilian's backstory. Nothing crazy -- he isn't going to turn cleric -- but got me wondering.

Glad you like the map.
My whole rationale for his game was that I wanted a scenario to be parallel of Europe in the High Middle Ages, but also with fantasy elements.
'The Church' is a parallel of the Christian church in that period.
The lack of divine magic in the human lands is because...it just doesn't actually work. The human clerics claim it does and some believe them, but, they can't really do miracles like they say.
The elves can have a religion, but their magic powers are still the same, no matter if they are considered to be religiously inspired or not. I'll leave that to you.
Technically Dwarves are supposed to have all converted to the Church, but I'm guessing there's still a lot of them that worship the ancient hearth-gods, on the quiet.
If you like, I am not totally averse to an ancient Dwarvish clerical tradition with actual divine powers, or even a necromantic tradition practiced in secret by dark human clerics.
But it'd all have to be a secret, in the same way the nature powers of the pagans have to be used in secret.
I hope you don't mind such limited magic. It's just that I have found in previous games that a lot of limitations around magic just make magic more interesting.

Oh yeah, I like it. I like to run campaigns where magic items and even high-end armor (like plate) are very rare. The reason I was asking was because the dwarf is having a mid-life crisis (part of the backstory) and I'm debating whether in the future to have him turn to religion as a stabilizing factor. It'd be ok if there was not real divine magic, but I was curious whether the Church was a strong entity, whether gods were active, etc.

Church is a strong political and social entity with no actual magic power.
If the dwarf wants God, that's cool. You could have him actually be a human Church devotee, or, realise he yearns for the ancient faith of his forefathers.

These backgrounds look fine to me and I'm happy to work with them.
When I initially drew up the campaign I had imagined elves being all from the Moon Isles and the Shiant Isles in the west.
In your backgrounds you have placed some elvish lands within the human kingdoms.
I like that addition.
I think that the elves must have once lived and fought alongside the humans in this world but are increasingly moving west and are increasingly rare in the normal world of humanity.
The Stand of Moonglade was probably one of a whole series of events where the last of the great elvish families were displaced and moved westward. That must have been a long time ago...
Incidentally, the extra cash I gave you can go to Tiana, not Freya. That must be the money from the Elvish Mage's Guild to complete the job.
I'll put Greyforge on the map, and Moonglade Estate can be around somewhere too. Maybe it is inland from here a way? Could it be one of the things you are trying to find?
I have ruled out there being any actual elves, wood elves or otherwise, living in Boldenwald any more. But, maybe there are traces of elvish stuff you have come to seek.

I replied in that thread. They look fine. You've lost a a few arrows, that's all.
Map updated.
Can you give me some idea of your next mission plan? We can RP town stuff for a bit and then get going on mission 2 in a while. Presuming you are still into it. I am.

Totally. I will post later tonight when I get more time. In a nutshell, chapter two will be to explore the middle fork per "eagle clue." Longer expedition of two weeks this time. Interlude will be to sell the herbs and ancient artifacts, and maybe a bit of RP around Fido.
