A cursory search shows that I've spent 2/4 game points. That sounds appropriate doesn't it?

One was for a nat 20 for Chevo's attack, and another was for Owly showing up to rescue the team.

You've spent 3, I'm pretty sure. (You'll get another back when Than goes to 3rd level though.) I'd have to search thoroughly to be sure but I am pretty sure it is 3. Can you keep track of those?

edit: it is definitely 3 out of 4 that you have spent. please keep track somewhere.

Done, in the signature. Yeah I seem to recall spending one avoiding certain death. It just didn't come up when I searched for 'spend' and 'game point' in my posts.

Cool, thanks. You will get more at 3rd level. For Thann, that is close. He just needs to do some more thief stuff, when he gets back to Greyforge...

by the way did you up his thief stats for 2nd level?

Woe -

I'm enjoying this a lot, but I am pretty sure there's a few things that you would have worked out differently, if we had been playing table top. You'd have more materials on hand and you could ask more questions, too, without slowing the game down.

I'm prepared to give you a few hints at this stage, that won't cost you EXP. It might change the outcome dramatically, or it might not. It's up to you.

Yep! I'd appreciate it. Sometimes it's a bit hard to come up with multiple ideas or recognize the obviously "not complex" answer, because my brain can only come up with so many ideas before it starts to focus on one. That's why Anna and Bruce are most helpful actually. They (you) occasionally have ideas I don't, or when they do, it's sometimes in a different perspective.

Then there's my memory. Believe it or not, I forgot about the Old Man until you mentioned it. I'm sure there's a lot of "if multiple brains were remembering things, we would have a lot more (I figured this one out!) moments than my wee brain alone.

Feel free to do whatever you want. I'm having fun and you should too I doubt Anna suddenly becoming an expert in goblin lore would be upsetting. I'd probably write reactions as both comical and annoyed. Just imagine what ex-were-Kilian would think!

OK - hint 1.

The mouse-people told you of a place called Malagosbe, which has its entrance at L11 on the campaign map. It's the ''Cursed Caves"or "Cursed Caverns", and it also supposedly holds the entrance to the Long South Road, and old dwarf built highway which leads under the mountains and eastward. The goblins hold the entrance (at L11), but no one knows anything much about the Great South Road itself except that Kilian is keen to find it as a major piece of dwarf heritage from long ago.

You also know the Old Man wants something in there too, very badly. He has tried getting in through L11 but found the goblins too numerous, so he has more recently sent his nisha followers to try another route, through a place called Cogan, an old mine somewhere in the mountains.

If we were playing tabletop you probably would have pieced together that the old mine was the nisha-held place you got near in 013, which is marked on the map as 'Nisha Tower'.

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1327&p=36602&hilit=track#p36605

You avoided it and went into the mountains and met wyverns, and saw the volcano lake, to the east.

Anyway - the point is, if you knew all this, you probably wouldn't be so keen on finding the surface to figure out where you were. Because you would realize it is pretty likely to be somewhere around L11, and very full of goblins.

More hints if you want. Incidentally, Kilian can attest that properly dwarf-built underground roads from the old days can go for many, many miles.
