Updated my poor Dwarves' hp values. They might need to get religious soon. Though I'm not entirely sure that the Very True God grants His divine magic to his clerics?

Anyway, sorry if this is in your rules thread somewhere, but do Rangers get the manual prescribed 14 skill points per level?

they get 15 points / level.

regaining old dwarf cleric magic is an objective, if you like. The very true god does not have any very true spells, unfortunately.

Both fighters should have 9 +5 = 14 hp. This includes con.

Grendel, I'm trying to turn one of my dwarves into a proper dwarven cleric. So far I have achieved F3/C3 and no spells. Haven't encountered any undead so not sure about turn undead yet. He hasn't had a divine epiphany yet and probably would need a mountain-sized one to overcome his distrust about... Um... Everything.

Nice! Maybe your Dwarf just needs to take a trip up to Greyforge to get reunited with his people, to feel the draw of the Old Gods.

I would love to spend a game point down the road to pick up a cleric* from Greyforge who is secretly studying the Old Gods, trying to reconnect with them in order to rekindle the old Divine Magic. That is a very cool long term objective, I just have to worry about somehow completing my current quest without succumbing to an infection tired and alone in the forest. :)

*As long as the Cleric is a cleric, and not just another squishy sage. Don't get me wrong, I love Milly, but another axe or two in the party would be beneficial.

It's quite unlikely Kilian will end up in Greyforge without divine intervention, possibly a lot of it. I wrote the battle/outcome of Greyforge to justify having a cranky, stubborn dwarf.

Oh that's awesome. I think I'd skimmed your character backgrounds, but I think I'll have to give them a closer read. I love what has become of Greyforge, and that's a great background.

I actually don't know what has become of Greyforge. Kilian left in disgust after the war, and I didn't think much about it since. The other dwarf in my party (NPC) is a gentrified city dwarf (bah!) and probably doesn't even speak dwarvish. He didn't even know how to use a crossbow!

Can you share a link with more recent news? I'm curious what it became post-war. For all I'm aware, Greyforge has either become a bastion of dwarven fortitude or infested with goblin zombies. Since Longman is sleeping right now, I'll just claim that Kilian heard it from a mouselike Cruthy who was a friend with one of the giant aquatic ghost bears that the party successfully avoided a few months ago, and the bear has a sister whose best friend's cousin married a dwarf; all of which is obviously a very reliable source of truth.

This is the most complete history that I know if for sure, my time has been spent roaming the countryside so far with a couple stops to visit dear ol dad at Greyforge.

Oh and 'Giant aquatic ghost bears'? Wow.

It's here:

It's a version of what Woe wrote. Greyforge was retaken about 8 years ago, in the manner described by woe - using blackpowder explosives, and accidentally collapsing a main wall in the process. The dwarves stopped their resurgent advance into the Vale of Langallen because this victory was so costly.

Not sure about the exchange of prisoners - goblins probably wouldn't do that - but the rest is all fine.
