Okay, that sounds good. Don't worry about figuring out day job rates, we'll stock up and head back out. Off to post...

OOC: I can't think of specific examples where Milly's abilities helped the group, she may have kept a lot of her more 'legit' abilities to herself.
I skimming through and saw this post. I thought of Tiana, my magic-user. At the beginning, she had only one spell (net?) which was pretty situational and she only had one or two casts per day. One time she threw a dagger at a (stirge) and nailed it. Beyond that, she wasn't that helpful.
I stuck it out with her and she became an integral part of the party (though I'm unsure how or why!). When she hit level 3, she learned web

and I think Longman is starting to wonder why he ever let me have that spell. It's going to be sooo useful going forward, at least until I learn fireball.

I think that's classic Old School magic-users, I love the stories that develop as they increase in experience and power. One of my home games, we started out using AD&D 1st ed. rules, then have sort of migrated towards pathfinder, a buddy of mine playing the wizard was forever trying to sneak in cheeky colour sprays or tossing oil bombs until he finally got himself a decently effective burning hands and then even later, his fireball.
Also, tossing daggers seems like a solid idea, as it seems magic-users aren't even supposed to be able to learn how to use slings. I'll just have to remember to pick them up after

Yep, it's all about the power curve. I remember when playing Baldur's Gate, thinking at the beginning "why do I even have a magic-user" and by the time everyone was hitting level 9, I had three magic-users in the group: F3/M8 multiclass, T5/M7 multiclass, and M9.
That party ended up annihilating the rest of the game.

The fighter/mage in BG was so crushing. I was always failing at that game until I found a guide suggesting the mighty fighter/mage then it was a whole different story.

Actually what I am really dreading is when you learn to FLY.

The mapping possibilities are going to be endless.

Fly + Floating Disc = First Dwarven Paratrooper Regiment ready for action!

I love the Dwarven Paratrooper idea. "Onyx from above" would be the motto if Clan Onyxbreaker put one of the teams together.
On another note, for Longman:
I just realized that I didn't put Thann's thiefly skills on his character record. He started with the default from the rulebook right?

Yep, then he gets 30 points per level.
While I;m at it - Hey Woe...it looks like Talin has been getting 30 points a level on his skills as well. He should only get 15. Can you fix that (if I'm right, and it needs fixing).

Oooops! Yes, I'll take care of that.
