The coin can be delivered in any assortment you want within reason. They don't have that much platinum laying about so they'd have to exchange some gold. If you can do half in platinum and half in gold then the money will be here at the end of the week. If you'd like the dwarves to start on your items they can do that, as long as you trust them to take some of the ingots to start on, this week while you await the money. The dwarves have already secured a smithy where Kallismith and his apprentices can do the work, all closely guarded of course.

"We already let Kallas take an ingot once and he returned with it. If no one objects, I see no problem with the dwarves taking the ingots needed to forge our new armor and weapons. I am also good with half platinum and half gold if that all they can get together in time."

Giovanni misses most of the conversation as we waits for his eyes to stop watering and his nose to stop running after taking an entirely too large a sip of Dwarven spirit..
"How much did you say we were getting??"

Re: 5) Brother James and the Eye Tyrant
The next two weeks pass in a whirl wind of things to do. Members of the CoS are called to Kallismiths smithy and instructed to stand nude (no matter the gender) so the master smith can measure them for custom fitted armor. Measurements are made and logged and the smithing begins.
Armor is first. As each set of armor is made the member is brought in and fitted, and fitted again. Kallismith is meticulous in his craft. Once the armor is done it is donned and the wearer feels as if he or she is wearing no more than an overly heavy set of leathers. Movement is free and without sound.
Weapons are made to order by the apprentices. A two handed sword for Opyeen swings as if it is a two handed short sword. Spears are light. Arrow heads are sharp enough to shave with and weigh less than an ounce. Daggers are wicked sharp and hold an edge even when driven into standard plate mail dummies.
During this time two members are paid special attention. Ravoneth and Maephina. Ravoneth is brought in and made to stand nude at the master smith takes measurements. I see you wear only cloth Adept. Perhaps I can improve on that if you'll allow me to weave something for you. After the measuring is done Ravoneth is allowed to leave.
Next is Maephina. The thief is required to stand naked at the forge while Hermia watches keeping an eye on her beloved friend. The master smith takes measurements from Maes ankles to her shoulders. Neck, biceps, wrists, thighs, calves, hips...... Thief I have a DBS surprise for you when this is all done. I can weave something for you that will feel as a cloth shirt but grant you an amazing protection.
Rykken is a special task. The dwarves raise an eyebrow or two at the gangly mage and his white skin. Hmm mage you seem to be lacking in the basic needs of protection. I think I can do something that will help you.
10 days after it began the CoS is presented with their arms and armor. Your DBS plate has a base AC of 20, any chain mail is a base AC of 18. Ravoneth you are given a set of monks robes woven to give you a base AC of 16, the cloth is light and supple. Maephina you are given a full set of leathers, form fitting and with pockets for your thief equipment that grants an AC of 17. Rykken you are presented a robe with multiple pockets, light weight and comforting it grants you a base AC of 19.
Your robes and leathers are not made of metal... well not exactly. We can weave a stand of DBS along with a secret that we know as fine as a hair and braid that into the interior of your clothes. For all intents and purposes there is no metal in you clothing. The fabric will bend and absorb strikes as if it were chain mail.... well it's better than chain and much lighter.
{DMs note. Mae and Rykken there is no metal in your leather or robes that will interfere with your thief skills or casting. Ravoneth you are given lightweight pants and a shirt with an open midriff covered by an open sleeved and parted waist coat of drab grey that will not go against your Adept beliefs or training. In fact it's much easier to move in these garments and less restrictive. }

(dang, I should have asked for a mage's robe instead of plate)

Re: 5) Brother James and the Eye Tyrant
(If the robe is AC 19 and the plate is AC 20. For a loss of 1 ac point I think having a better movement rate of 10' and only weighing 4 ounces as opposed to 12.5 pounds is a fair trade off.)

Re: 5) Brother James and the Eye Tyrant
(ok, I updated my sheet with the DBS robes and weapons. If the 2 handed sword is as light as a short sword, can I swing it with one hand? Also, do the sharp arrow heads hive a boost to damage or to hit?)
