Hermia stands protectively over her Halfling companion, a quick glance shows that Mae has been hit hard. The Halfling thief is twitching a bit as if trying to overcome some sort of paralyzing effects. Blood runs from her nose and mouth in a dark red torrent. The area around her eyes has begun to swell at an alarming rate leaving her eyes almost covered in swollen and bruised flesh. Her battered lips are likewise swelling and bleeding.

Brother James pulls his tunic off in preparation for the fight to come and starts to turn towards Hermia.

As Hermia sets herself to protect the fallen Mae she hears a muttered prayer behind her. The clerical drone of holy magic rushes past her and seems to settle on the angered Adept facing her.

Brother James turns just a bit and then halts. The sinew in his arms and face become pronounced and his eyes widen a bit as he struggles against some unseen force.

Giovanni's Hold Person has fully stopped and held the angered and misguided monk. Other than the movement of his eyes and his labored breathing as he fights the enchantment Brother James is held immobile.

Ravoneth at the fore of the incident, standing near Hermia, is witness to a Fallen Monk fighting with all his being to get out of a Holy and Righteous spell of holding. The hate that she can see on his face makes him out to be the very thing that the Refuge sought to teach and adapt away from. Were it Master Seryithidanthanis standing with her to witness this he would be as stunned as she is.......

Master Seryithidanthanis isn't here to guide her, so she'll do the first thing she can think of. She'll knock him out. Hard. Then she'll take precautions that if he wakes up again, he won't be able to move so much as a finger (she'll tie him up).

"Nice catch, Giovanni. But hurry, Mae's hurt bad!"

As Ravoneth goes to finish off the magically held Brother James, Giovanni quickly rushes to Mae's aid. He lays his hands on her forehead and begins to chant in a low voice..

((Should I roll a Wisdom check or something to see if I can determine whether or not she just needs healing or if there is something more at work?)) I plan on casting cure light wounds just want to know if its going to be helpful or if we should run her to the monastery..))

Ravoneth walks up to her one time companion now Held and immobile. His eyes look at her.... filled with anger and an unreasonable amount of hate. Those eyes quickly close as she hammers a fist into his jaw. Even knocked out he stands upright due to the Clerical spell. A subtle snore comes from him as he stands asleep.

Giovanni quickly tends to the company thief. He rolls her over and looks at her face and the blood running from her nose and mouth. *dice rolling* Our Cleric deduces that she is not Stunned and immobile as per the Adept Strike but very hurt. Her nose is broken, her upper jaw is split just below the nose and one of her cheek bones is shattered. Whatever it was that hit her was precise and hard. Praying to his God Giovanni finds his hands filled with healing magics and laying them upon Mae he is rewarded with bone knitting together, teeth realigning in the gums and her destroyed nose going back into shape. Sitting back and looking at his patient he is happy to see that she looks as if she's never been damaged. Mae for her part is peacefully asleep after the healing. There will be some bruising left over but that will heal in time.

You forgot a step.

Ravoneth does not have rope, so she'll ask for Hermia for her rope (or Mae's, though I'm unsure whether Mae is capable of giving it over). Once she has some rope, she'll truss him up with all 50' and a lot of knots. She'll also not let him out of her sight.

Picking the still-unconscious Mae up and putting her across her shoulders, Hermia makes a mental note to buy some manacles in the morning when the shops are open, just to be extra sure-- he'll not punch her girlfriend in the face again.

"Hermia, can I use your rope?"

"Oh. Sure. All yours."
