As the companions enter Rykkens shop Alfred chimes up. Ah! Welcome back champions of grandeur! Master Rykken I'm glad you are here, the books are all in order as you require but there is a matter of a young elven lady who claims to have been in your employ for some time. She requests that you..... Seeing the two men in the midst of the CoS being escorted he trails off.. Well the matter of little Lys can wait I suppose.

Ravoneth will follow Rykken's direction where to put James and the two thugs.

Once we are in a secure private room Oypeen will say, "OK, you two, tell us your story."

Thinking about it further, Ravoneth is hardly an interrogator. She'll hop up onto the roof (?) and find a nice shady corner (hiding in shadows) to keep a lookout on the store.

Ravoneth departs to the roof and finds herself a nice shadowed place to keep watch. A couple seconds after she's settled in Brother James goes past her position to take up a similar perch on the other side of the building. With the two sharp eyed Adepts watching over things the interrogation inside begins.

The first one gestures towards Rykken. We work for him. Or more specifically we are part of the Carpenters Guild that he's helped put back together. We're apprentices. The other nods his agreement.

The second one speaks up. We're supposed to be at work by now, our lunch is only fifteen damn minutes and we wanted to take a break for a little. We only get about half a damn hour off a day and working 6 days a week wears on a man. Carl here thought he recognized the boss there he motions to Rykken and then said that there seemed to be a new line boss being hired in that young half elf. So's when you seen us we tried to hide a bit. Nothing to it other than us taking a longer than authorized break is all. Really.

Looking to Rykken the one named Carl says Mister Steelchanter we're not up to no-good. Just tired of the work schedule and wanting a break for a few extra minutes is all. Honest. Me and Jake here work hard and we appreciate the pay but damn the hours are really long.

"So going for your sword is a way to keep your job? Come now, speak the truth and maybe you'll see daylight once again."

Jake (the one that made the move) calmly replies. A lot of people wear swords or used to do so. I made my living as a guard for hire until this carpenter job came up. It was a reaction to a threatening situation, nothing more.

Carl once again speaks to Rykken. Say. We really should be getting back. That line boss out there is a tough one. Can we get some kind of note or something saying we were talking to you for this time so that we don't lose our jobs? I've got a family to take care of.
