Can we here Ravoneth on the other side of the wall?

"I don't like how much commotion that caused, but unless we missed some secret doors we are in a dead end on this side of this blockage. No way out without teleporting or bashing this down and the only way in is through the portal that dropped us into the water room."

You can do that or you can teleport over to Ravoneth and then teleport back on this side.

Your best guess is that the wall is a couple of feet thick. It would take a dwarven mining team about half a day to chisel a large enough hole in it to pass through.

You can hear Ravoneth and she can hear you but the communication is muffled.

"I'm going to teleport to the other side and bring Ravoneth back over here. Then if it is satisfactory to everyone, I can teleport us to the fireball room and hope nothing has set up residence there."

Ravoneth you hear something coming towards you from the eastern passage. Heavy footsteps, multiple ones trying to be silent.

Are they coming in torchlight or in the dark?

In the dark, no torchlight is visible.

Watching the area of approach of the unknown beings Ravoneth is startled a bit but not overly concerned as Opyeen materializes next to her and lays a hand on her shoulder. Just before the "bamf" back to the other side of the fallen wall a trio of Orcs, followed by many more come around the corner and begin a charge.

The adept and fighting mage arrive back next to the chest resting on Rykkens floating disk. With another use of the ring the company magically zips away and arrives once again in the room where they fought the evil mage from years gone by. Looking around everything appears the same. The ceiling and walls are still blackened from the Fireball that decimated members of the original Carnage of Steel. The plinth that contained the gems still sits silently in place.

Looking around the new members can see the lighter patches on the ground where bodies had lain as the fire raged around them.... there is still the slight scent of roasted meat, super-heated iron and death in the air. Here and there are remains of equipment burned beyond recognition, pools of metal that might once have been weapons and fused glass are all that are left.

(Ok folks you made it without getting squished or stung. Well done. Let me know how you plan to address the locked chest issue and while you're at it please add 200xp to each of your sheets.)
