Looking to the south Ravoneth sees that the corridor runs for 30' and ends in a T junction with spurs running west and east.

"While it's strange to see sand here, I don't think it affects what we're trying to accomplish. Is there any reason we shouldn't continue along?"

"What we are trying to accomplish is to find treasure, wealth, and fame. Not sure if sand leads to any of that, but we'll never know if we don't check it out."

"
The palace leads to fame, the market to fortune, and detachment to wisdom."
Ravoneth dispassionately waits for Oypeen and possibly the others to finish playing in the sand and turn back to the tasks at hand.
Here's your chance to go make sand castles!

Mae silently wishes she'd brought a bucket and a trowel. Hermia is already planning one for next time.

Digging around in the oddly wet sand Hermia and Mae quickly get a rather impressive sand castle going, ah the innocence of youth and halflings to be playing in possibly the most deadly dungeon in the realms. Ravoneth watches on while the halflings play and the others kick through the remaining pile looking for whatever may be hidden there. Turning from her observations the young adept catches sight of something round and dark that was revealed as Hermia pulls another handful of sand to add to the ramparts of her construction.

"wait! What is that?" She will lean down to take a closer look.
I wasn't sure about the size of the object. Is it pebble sized or closer to sand dune sized?

After giving warning Ravoneth peers closer at the object. Brushing some of the sand away reveals the edge and top of an iron bound and weather beaten oak chest.

"Mae, come check this out. It looks like you've just found sunken treasure in your sandbox."
