(For the life of me I can't remember where you went and finding the post on my phone is a joke. In re-reading the description for that ring you can go anywhere within Undermountain that is below the surface. Up to the inn isn't doable.)Hywaywolf wrote:

Re: 4) Undermountain: The Beholders Key
(I didn't think we wanted to fight while we waited for the platform to come down, so I sent us to the water room. I seriously would appreciate a post op review on my choice though. Oypeen only had 6 seconds to think about where to go and thats the only room that I could think of that isn't an easy jog from that pillar room. I suppose I could have tried to go to the room where the firebomb killed half our party, but I am not sure that is part of undermountain.)

Thanks man! You can indeed Teleport to the bottom of the entry well just not up above to the Inn.Hywaywolf wrote:(I just looked it up, page 25 of chapter 3 says we went to the bottom of the well. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1248&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=240)Jandolar wrote:(For the life of me I can't remember where you went and finding the post on my phone is a joke. (For future reference it is part of Undermountain and can be accessed via that ring. Might be a nice place to bamf to for a save haven of sorts.)Hywaywolf wrote:(I didn't think we wanted to fight while we waited for the platform to come down, so I sent us to the water room. Re: 4) Undermountain: The Beholders Key
With a shimmer of light blue light the CoS arrives in knee deep (for a human) water in the room where they fought the giant gar. Acting quickly they haul the severely wounded Rykken up ontn the dry platform that surrounds the black effigy of a Saughin fish man. The black candles are still in place upon the alter and the head is still tilted from when they sound the rings hidden within the neck.
(In looking at your character sheets I only see Opyeen having the healing potions, 3 7d8 Extra Healing and 3 1d6 Healing, so I'll run it that Opyeen uses at least one to get Rykken back online and one each for himself and Ravoneth. I'll roll for each d8 of healing in the hopes that there are some good rolls for you all and you don't end up using all of them. Giovanni has some healing spells left that he hasn't used.)
Opyeen, groaning in pain, pulls a healing potion from his pack and pours it down Rykkens throat. After the first two gulps the mage is able to sit up and control how much he takes in. Three more doses sees the mage back to looking normal. Opyeen then takes the bottle in his hand and drinks while Mae breaks the end off the arrow sticking out of his back and Ravoneth pulls from the front drawing the wooded shaft back out through the hole. Dropping the empty he pulls another and begins the process anew. Finally feeling up to speed he quickly passes the what remains to Ravoneth and steadies her as she starts drinking.
Ravoneth drinks all but one dose before she is at full fighting capacity.
(Opyeen you used one full potion and all but1d8 on the second one. Not bad considering how messed up the party was.)
Where next Carnage of Steel?

Re: 4) Undermountain: The Beholders Key
(I'll fix my sheet. Ravoneth does have a partial bottle of d8 potion, that I gave her last time she was injured. I guess woe never added it to his sheet. I deleted it from my sheet back then)
Re: 4) Undermountain: The Beholders Key
(If I recall correctly there was 4d8 left in that one. Woe please add one Potion of Extra Healing with 4d8 left in it to your sheet. If it's not there the party can't use it.)Hywaywolf wrote:(I'll fix my sheet. Ravoneth does have a partial bottle of d8 potion, that I gave her last time she was injured. Re: 4) Undermountain: The Beholders Key
(Ok, so I am deleting 2 of the 7d8's from my sheet. Ouch, only one 7d8 left. we need to get some more healing pots
BTW, I can't speak for Giovanni, but potions are hard to come by, but healing spells come everyday. In the future its probably more efficient to use all of our healing spells first before using pots and healing scrolls. But then, Giovanni may like to always have a healing spell on hand.)
