"The last time we handed over people that tried to kill us to the city watch they escaped almost immediately. I do not believe the city watch will be capable of holding this one either. I do not wish to fight this one again."

"What if one of the mages charms him? We could convince him to stay in jail while we get things sorted."

The drawback to using charm is that if he has an intelligence bonus he gets a daily save and if just average int. he gets a weekly save. Also it can be dispelled by a 10th level cleric. I really don't want to face him again, especially if he ambushes us as you would think he would do since we kicked his behind already.

"Well, there's obviously no love lost between he and Kallas. Maybe we should just turn him over to Kallas and let him deal with him."

"Master Elf, what is your suggestion then? Do you intend to murder him in cold blood?"

"I don't have any plans for him since he did not harm me, but I have no intention of getting between Kallas and whatever he wants to do to him. I was protecting Carnage of Steel when I attacked him, and I believe that it is in Carnage of Steel's best interest that this evil cleric not have a chance to seek revenge against us. I have little faith in the authorities ability to hold him. I have slightly more faith that a charm spell will help, but we wouldn't know when it fails and would be vulnerable to a surprise attack until word gets back to us.
So as to what I think we should do ... relieve him of his arms, armor and valuables; destroy his weapon; and then let Kallas do what he wishes with him."

Hermia sighs and nods her agreement to this plan. "Kallas is wise. He will make the best call."

From all the malice dripping from this man, I have no problems with somebody ending his wretched life..

Kallas, silent up till now and content to let the CoS decide the fate of one Taplyn Soulreaver speaks up. There is another way. But you won't be able to get any information out of him. You could make him swear and oath to you. No dwarf, even one as vile as this pile of meat would break that. He prods Talpyn a bit with his axe and in so doing is rewarded with the full glare of a defeated but not yet ready to give up dwarven cleric. His missing teeth and bloodied face make him all the more menacing. You don't know that to be entirely true Grimsbeard. I no longer follow the Dwarf Father to whom the oath is bound. His sister is much more lenient to her clergy in what promises they must keep.
Turning to the companions Kallas continues Damn.... he might be right about that, I'd rather your lives not hang in the balance. So your options are these. You can strip him of his items and interrogate him then let me kill him, I doubt you'll get much out of him, or you can let him keep his gear and he and I'll take a walk to sort this out face to face. I'll probably stand a lot better chance this time than I did the last.
I let you live the last time Kallas. Talpyn counters. I'll offer the same to your friends if you let me just walk out the back. I'll not come after you or stand against you unless you interfere with my business directly.
CoS this decision is yours to make.

"What a strange culture you westerners have. The law breakers are weak. Yet you claim the law enforcers can't restrain the law breakers. And despite all the laws, justice to the wicked appears to be decided by vigilantes. I will meditate later on the implications of this assessment."
"We all agree the mace is to be destroyed then? Leave it to me." Ravoneth will unstring her bow. Once unstrung, she'll use it to lift the mace by its thong.
