Ravoneth debates whether to return to her meditation, then remembers the Grand Master's words about these folk. She stands and bows to Waylon. "Pilgrim Ravoneth, of Quaynar Refuge. I just finished my evening devotions."

Water deep? Be careful there young miss. Many a young person gets caught up in big city business and ends up on the losing end. With that he stands and goes back to his sweeping. If you need anything let me know.

Hmm. We it seems that the young folks or anyone not from the city are usually taken advantage of by the locals. Just be careful.

"Thanks for the warning. I'll try to be careful."
Conversation over for now, Ravoneth continues her meditation.

(Was there anything specific you wanted to do while here? If not I'll advance your story line.)

(Nope, just pay my respects to the local folk then move on. If Ravoneth needs food, she'll buy some. That's all I can think of.)

After spending some time in town Ravoneth heads west once again and before she gets very far the ranger appears at her side trotting along easily. The next few days pass uneventfully as Fergus and Ravoneth head for Waterdeep. The evenings are spent around a campfire with the ranger telling what he knows of the local area and showing what native edibles can be easily harvested for food or healing properties. Fergus comments that the bow the adept carries looks to have been made by a true master bow maker and laments that they didn't have more time as he'd like to have given some pointers on using the bow.
Near lunch time several days later the pair tops a small rise and there in the distance sits the city of Waterdeep. Stretching out behind it is the harbor that gives it it's name and the Sword Coast around it. Fergus gives the young half elf a pat on the shoulder This is as far as I go Ravoneth. Be safe while within the city and don't be surprised if you find me in your camp one morning on your return trip. Since I'll be stationed here for the next few years I'm sure we'll run into each other.
