Quistine will wave the other characters back and she inspects the secret compartment thoroughly before attempting to open it.

Ditto.

Also, that's a pretty sweet ring. Dibs on the next one!

LOL @dymondy2k

I waited over two days to see if anyone wanted to risk getting killed by a suit of armor before I grabbed it. :) Maybe because I survived the fireball I have an unrealistic sense of immortality?

The rest will be revealed to me either through its use or by getting it "looked at" by someone who knows these sort of things, say Rykkens friend Ol' Prydwyn.

I also sense that the ring breaks all wizard locks, walls of force, holds, webs and other magical barriers on contact with no harm to the wearer. They absorb magic missiles and electrical spells and natural effects to re-power themselves.

There are only 8 of these known in existence and all but two have been accounted for.
Poop. My intention was for you only to know that the ring functions as a ring of teleport. Meh no worries, you know all of the functions.

I never said you were. My intention was to have you find out the rest of the rings functions through role play and I think I mentioned that in the PM.

With sure fingers and deft movements Quistine examines the small door-stone in the pillar. A few seconds of careful study reveals neither trap nor lock. Opening it slowly Quistine looks within to find three foot-long tapering sticks of plain wood and another small brass key.

My bad, I thought the things you mentioned were known things we might pick up in conversations in the tavern and that they were other things that I would learn later. I should have though about it closer, then I could amaze my friends when I walk thru webs and open wizard locked doors :) I read better next time.

Giovanni peeks out from behind one of the pillars after hearing the satisfying click come from the thief's direction.
