Quistine walks up to the statue and has to climb a bit to see inside. Hmmm. No traps that I can see. The one post is for sure a lever but I can't tell what it activates. Rykken then reaches in and retrieves three wax coated rings from the first post.

Once everyone is together Opyeen is free to teleport them all back to the entry well. Arriving safely with giant fish in tow the companions make some noise to alert the bar patrons above. The platform is lowered and after everyone is safely aboard it begins rising up into the warm and welcome embrace of a civilized tavern. Seeing as how it's just after lunch time the bar is occupied by a few pockets of men conversing, one or two individuals working on the last of the mid day meal and a couple of hard drinkers sitting at the bar doing what they do best.

Durnan comes over and does a quick head count of the CoS. Everyone made it back I see. Well done adventurers, well done indeed. So... what in the name of old man Sea is that you have there? A fish? In a dungeon??

Rykken will slip out to visit both Prydwyn and Jysteen to see if they can shed any light on the rings he found. He will also ask them about the statue to see if they have any information to share.

Oypeen looks at the state of his clothing and says, "Aye, we be a bit wet, but hardly beaten up. This was just a quick expedition cut short by the capture of this giant gar. Don't you think it would look fantastic stuffed and mounted over the well right here in the tavern. A sure sign that strange things can be found down below."

Durnan looks at the giant gar I'm not much for putting something like that on the wall. If you want to sell the meat I'll give you 5 gold for it and we'll serve it up tonight. Your meals will be on the house of course.

Glancing up from her stew and tea Hermia catches a halfling staring at her. The other quickly turns away and melds into the crowd. The quick look Hermia got showed a female about the same size as she, leather armor and few visible weapons. The face looked way too young to be in a place like this.

After getting cleaned up Rykken heads out to revisit his network of mages. Seeking out Prydwyn first he is quickly ushered into the sitting room. Back again I see. Well young Rykken what can I do for you? Rings you say. Hmm let me see what we have here. Retrieving his own ring and placing it on his finger ol' Prydwyn holds each of Rykkens rings for a second.This first one is just a plain ring, I'd like to keep it if you don't want it. The second is a ring of Water Walking, the last one is... His eyes scrunch a little Rykken where did you get this!? Do you have any idea what this ring does?? Do you have a CLUE what these rings are meant to do together!!?? Please tell me you're not involved with this sort of cultism. Before we go any further and long before I'll let you walk in on Jysteen with a ring of Djinni Summoning you're going to tell me how you got these rings.

After hearing Rykkens account of the statue and giant gar the old man leans back in his chair. All you saw was the gar and statue? Hmm.. might be just coincidence then. If you get back in there keep your eyes out for any black candles made from the waxy fat of dead elves.There should also be one or more powerful undead involved. Destroy the statue if you can. Why you ask? Its part of a ritual that will attempt to bring back one of the old vanquished demi gods of the sea. With that he hands all three rings back.
