Re: 3) Undermountain: Life and Death
An inspection of the ceiling quickly lets Opyeen know that the webs have been here for a very very long time. Dust clings to them thickly in several places. What ever it was that made these is long dead or long gone.

Giovanni decides to pursue his life long dream to become a thief and goes over and checks those loose stones... Justa kidding! I just have my hand loosely around my mace in case things go south.

Quistine will follow behind Oypeen and inspects the room as well. Two sets of eyes are better than one!
If Quistine does find anything she will visually inspect it first, then tap at it with her sword, then really inspect it thoroughly.

Re: 3) Undermountain: Life and Death
(for the record, Oypeen did not enter the room. He let the spear tip search it while others deal with the rat. The rat is strange, like the little kid in The Incredibles when Mr. Incredible comes home from work and sees the kid sitting there and watching him, and when asked what are you waiting for, the kid says, "I don't know, something amazing, I guess."))

Re: 3) Undermountain: Life and Death
Having assessed that the rat is not obviously magical, Hermia heads into a room, making note of the loose stones.

If Quistine and Hermia survive the entrance, Oypeen will enter as well and hope that someone keeps an eye on the rat. He will wait until the thief checks the stones for traps and look around the room for other secret doors and or compartments.

Re: 3) Undermountain: Life and Death
I will amend my action to following Hermia. keeping an eye out for anything obvious. Its the obvious traps that will get you.
Re: 3) Undermountain: Life and Death
While Giovanni keeps watch of both his companions and the odd rat Hermia and Quistine enter enter the room. With two sets of eyes scanning for traps or enemies the room is quickly cleared and deemed safe from monsters. Quistine heads over to the loose stones and with practiced hands quickly deems that there are neither traps nor locks. Slowly prying up one stone, you can never be too sure with traps, and glancing inside she sees what appears to be a skeletal hand resting upon a large leather sack.
Hermia, free to roam a bit, finds an oddly shaped and dust covered lump near the eastern wall. Bending to examine it she sees what looks like a statue or sculpture. The parts that she can see look like three figures standing upon something still hidden by dust. The statue is about 6 inches tall and probably the same in diameter. It's small size is probably the reason it has remained here for so long.
Opyeen brings up the rear and even with his heightened elven senses he can detect no secret doors or openings.
