As Lianna approaches the trap door (in the ceiling) she notices movement from beneath the grating at her feet. Looking closer she sees what appears to be a heavy double cross bow that was invisible until the trap was sprung. It could probably be removed from where it hangs if taken apart and pieced out.
Opyeen walks over to the trap door and notices a light green glow coming from within. Cautiously sticking his head through the door.......
You are near one wall of a semi circular room, perhaps 80 feet across. The other side of the room contains a waist high circular plinth, which is the source of the glow, and a motionless figure.
The figure is a human woman. She is facing you, one hand outstretched. That hand wears a gleaming metal gauntlet. She is very beautiful, with dark glistening eyes and long dark hair. She does not appear to see you, or anything, but is as still as a statue.
She wears a long, flowing gown, not armor, and has no second gauntlet to match the first. Her bare left hand clutches a slim, foot long rod of bronze, with small horned globes at each end. There is a black ribbon around her neck and the front of her gown is some sort of stiff material, ornamented with fine wire and abalone and ivory inlays. Her expression is serious, perhaps angry, as she stares unseeing into the darkness. The chamber is still and silent.
Looking a bot more closely you see a circle drawn upon the plinth circumscribing seven rather large gems.
