Sturm leans against the wall and watches Hermia and Oypeen do their thing. He peeks over Hermia's shoulder quietly to get an idea of what's been mapped already. It doesn't look like much of a leap to assume that the door going east will connect to the large pillared area, probably from the north.

Upon spying the symbol on the wall Lianna smirks a little before examining the not-so-secret door. She checks a 5x5 area of the wall starting at the top and working down, looking specifically for any recent disturbances. While doing this she also occasionally stops and listens for any sort of noise coming from beyond her torchlight. She may be near the Undermountain's entrance but who knows whats lurking down here?

Opyeens attempts to garner information via threats are apparently having no effect on the now smiling Bugbear. With a smirk Ha! You already too far.... there are hundreds of us, more come. The master brings us.

A sudden bright light comes from over by the armor.

(To Rykken: It was just the chain mail that was glowing until you touched the sword, which now springs into your hand and begins glowing bright enough to sting your eyes.)

(To Lianna: Signs of recent traffic and the symbol on the door indicate that some of your companions have recently gone through this door. Nothing to indicate any traps that you can tell.)

Oypeen looks on with a disbelieving smirk, "Hundreds? Ha, you show your cowardliness to Skiggaret. He will take great pleasure in telling Hruggek how you cower in front of us 'Lesser beings" and hide behind vague numbers in hopes that we may become afraid and spare you your life. More likely there is just the three of you and you were probably shunned for being to nice. Hundreds, haha. what could possibly have attracted hundreds of cowardly little buggybears here? "

Rykken shuts his eyes against the brightness and tries to put the sword down.

Right, Lianna will cautiously open the door after dousing her torch. She draws her dagger just in case.

((OOC: with the amount of money we have its a wonder why we don't have a hooded lantern))

Rykken opens his hand and the sword, instead of falling to the ground, appears in its scabbard.

Opyeens interrogation of the Bugbear has taken a strange turn as the creature begins to laugh to the point of histeria.

(To Rykken: There is a small scar upon the palm of your hand that matches one of the runes on the hilt of the sword.)

(To Opyeen: Your captive appears to be very quickly losing his mind.)

(to Opyeen, Rykken, Sturm and Hermia: add 125xp to your characters, update you character sheets when you get time.

(To Lianna: As you ease the door open you hear strange laughter in the room beyond and Opyeens familiar voice. You also detect something metallic sliding along the back of the door as you push it.)

Lianna freezes in her tracks at what she hears. After a taking a moment to listen further she cautiously pushes the door open far enough to reach her arm through. Sliding her mirror from the pouch on her belt she uses it to see whats creating that grating noise when the door moves.

Upon spotting the two axes she stops opening the door and lets out a low warning whistle. Which she is sure her companions will recognize. She then angles her mirror into the room so that it periodically reflects light in the room.

((OOC: what the hell, those axes should have fallen long before it was wide enough to get fingers and a mirror through :) Do I look like I just fell off the alarm setting wagon yesterday? ))

Tiring of this pointless interrogation, Oypeen gives everlasting peace to the shaman (coup de grĂ¢ce, slits his throat, sends him to the great beyond). "If we had a cleric with Speak to Dead, he could interrogate this unruly fellow now."

Oypeen checks himself for blood splatter and finding none, simply straights out his armor. "Well, while I doubt this poor specimen of a bugbear is the tip of the spear of hundreds of comrades, I do believe we may find more of his type lingering around."

Looking over to Rykken, "Ah, my fine friend Rykken, you seem to have solved our light issues. Well done. I wonder if this sword glows when it is near different creatures and that is what the different runes tell you. Perhaps if you were to move to the far side of this chamber and remove the sword again it may glow with less exuberance."

Oypeen removes the rope, a valuable asset, and completes searching the bugbear for items.
