1) Undermountain, the beginning.

Re: Undermountain, the beginning.
Upon inspecting the bodies of the two dead Bugbears Opyeen finds a total of 21 silver and 9 electrum pieces. The axes are of poor quality though sharp and taken care of. Among the money found are random bits of food, a finger bone on a string, some twine and some feathers.
The rabbits on the pit are done, the beer in the keg is still there, the armor still glows and the other door in the room is slightly ajar.

Re: Undermountain, the beginning.
an ajar door, I would assume there isn't anything close enough to have heard this ruckus, but Oypeen will listen at the door then try to peek through the opening to see what can be seen. Need to make sure help isn't barreling our way before turning back to the bugbear.
Also, too make sure we aren't surprised like these chaps while we question the shaman Oypeen carries the two axes back to the secret door to see if it has reshut. He will peek out to see if anything is out there, then take a bit of dust and mark Carnage of Steel's secret symbol on the outside of the secret door so that it will look like any other smudge in the dungeon accept for someone who knows what it is. Oypeen is hoping our other members come in after us and doesn't want them, to get lost. He'll then shut the secret door and lean the axes against the door with the steel heads up so anyone coming through will make a ruckus.

(I will assume at this point Lianna may join)
Always a day late and a copper short Lianna will quietly make her way down the tunnel following any sort of obvious footmarks and trails while also keeping a close eye on the walls for any markings her comrades may have left behind.

Sturm pockets the chain in his backpack and begins to look around, particularly at the door standing ajar..

Hermia takes this break to sit close to the torchlight and sketch out where they've been so far, quietly humming a jaunty tune, with all the focus of a coloring kindergartener.

Re: Undermountain, the beginning.
The secret door is now closed, blocked and marked with your secret markings. Other than the angry mutterings of the Bugbear and the armor nothing else is really going on. Hermia is busy happily mapping what you've seen so far.
(To Sturm and Opyeen: The door remains slightly ajar, no noise from outside.)
(To Lianna: As you walk down the corridor you catch sight of a familiar symbol on the right hand wall. Good thing it was there or you'd have walked right past what you can now see is a secret door.)

Re: Undermountain, the beginning.
Oypeen checks the ajar door for and trip wires or what not that will alert anyone to the movement of the door, then if he finds nothing, will shut it.
Then he turns to the bugbear, stopping to dip his hand in the blood of his companions. With the bugbear securely tied and the gag in place, Oypeen places his palm squarely on the face of the bugbear, leaving a bloody print shaped like a claw from its forehead, across its eyes and down to its chin. He looks at the bugbear as if he is reading the bugbears soul, then says, "Skiggaret has come to haunt me in my dreams. He has ensorced me to do his bidding, although I have tried to fight it."
Oypeen draws random symbols on the bugbears clothing with his bloody finger. He chants a few words of gobbily gook then looks deep into the bugbears eyes. "Skiggaret has lost faith in a band of bugbears that live in the Undermountain. He has has sent me to dismember each of these members limb by limb. I would prefer to use an axe, but Skiggaret demands that I use this spell he sent me in my dream, a spell that rots the limbs away. It is grotesque and painful from what I have imagined in these visions."
Oypeen returns to the dead bugbear and re-dips his hand. He returns to the shaman and says, "I sense that you have some power of you own and thus a second marking will be needed. I fear for you that this will double the agony that you have coming."
Oypeen repeats the blood patterns from before, then stops and turns to one of the others in the party who has said something. He speaks english back to them then turns back to the bugbear.
"It has been brought to my attention that your band of bugbears may not be the band that has brought on Skiggaret's ire. If there is another band or some other thing that may have enraged Skiggaret I might find it possible to just kill you swiftly and forego the torment of rotting limbs."
Oypeen will then remove the gag from the bugbears mouth.
(ooc: Skiggaret is the half-mad bugbear deity of fear.)

Re: Undermountain, the beginning.
The Bugbear spits some of the blood out of his mouth and smiles. In broken common he replies Skiggaret? Not afraid of that one, I worship the Black One from below. He give power, we get power over you.

Re: Undermountain, the beginning.
Oypeen smiles back at the shaman, then the smile turns sad. "Do you really believe that Skiggaret would dare act in Hruggek's domain if he was not serving as Hruggek's messenger. Hruggek has sent Skiggaret to punish those of his followers who live in leisure here in the undermountain while the enemies of his people use this home for sport. And Skiggaret, for my sins, has chosen me as his weapon."
Oypeen twists the broken arrow in the bugbears thigh. "So are you the wicked that needs his limbs rotted off one by one until there is nothing left but to draw the bloody claw around the neck? Or are there more deserving cretins who live in these rooms?"

Re: Undermountain, the beginning.
OOC: Was it just the chain mail that was glowing or was the sword glowing too?
Rykken will cautiously touch the sword and if nothing happens he will take the sword and tuck it into his backpack.

The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.
