Post up what you'll be playing. Guidelines below.

1) Core BFRPG rules only to start (so I don't get bogged down with supplemental rules)
2) We'll use the Quick Character Generator for stats (I'll roll on the dice roller and PM each persons line number to them).
3) Equipment-You can each roll for starting gold and then multiply that number by your level and purchase your equipment from that (no magic items).
4) Level- You'll each start with 8,000 experience points in what ever class you chose.
5) Magic Users and Clerics get additional 1st level spell slots equal to their requisite ability bonus.
6) You will each receive one magical item. I'll roll once for each of you in the random treasure tables in the core rules and PM you what you've gotten. If it works out that you can use it (i.e. the Fighter gets a +1 Long Sword) then all the better. If not you can sell it or trade it or whatever you want. This is to reflect your most recent adventure and the loot you found while there.
7) Back stories are optional but would add spice to the game.
8) I'd like you to be a known party of adventurers that have gone out "a slaying" in the past. You could be "The Party of the _______" or something like that. This will save game time lost in finding out who is who.
9) (house rule) Max hit points for first level.
10) (house rule) Magic Users have Read Magic as an ingrained ability like Clerics have Turn Undead.
11) (house rule) At 5th level and every 5 levels there after (i.e. 10th, 15th, 20th) a character may add 1 point to any chosen statistic (str, dex, con, etc..). No statistic may be higher than 18. This is to represent the growth of the characters physical and mental prowess as levels of experience increase.

I'll get a character sheet template together and post it today.

Looks good so far guys. For you magic users keep in mind that you start out with Read Magic as a constantly available spell (house rule) that doesn't count towards your available spell slots. So if you have 4 slots available for 1st level spells you have Read Magic and then 4 slots available for other things. Read Magic works for Magic Users like Turn Undead works for Clerics. It's something that is ingrained in you from your first day of training since it's essential for all things magical and as such is always available, like an innate ability if you will. If you can't read magic you can't cast it....

cool, I was trying to decide between read languages, ventriloquism or magic missile. I am thinking that since I have a ring of plant control, ventriloquism might give some opportunities for a talking and moving tree.

By the way, can you roll my gold and hp for 2nd level since this site doesn't have a dice roller. Being a combo player is going to screw me on the amount of gold I get because my level is based on the amount of experience I need and not how many opportunities I have had to get gold . Hopefully we'll kill something wearing plate mail while we're down there :)

I am also reminded why I dislike playing fighters, unless you have an 18 strength and thus raising the amount you can carry lightly and heavily loaded, you will always have a 10' movement rate unless you pick up something magical, then it only goes to 20'
