I'll catch up!

I've been on the road and slammed busy, as fate would have it the day I was getting online to write up my character the site had it's hosting issues. I'm serious about playing, don't let me hold you back. We can role play a way for me to pop into the action if need be, please give me until tonight to get plugged in.

You've got the slot. I'm not going to throw you out of it. If you can get your character done by Friday that will be fine. We'll work you in.

Backstory: Hermia, the youngest of five sisters, comes from a long line of surveyors, cartographers, geologists, and other map-loving types. As a young girl, with her native farming villages and woodlands already well-mapped, she made it her mission in life to explore new and unusual places in the world. She tries to make the journey home with new charts and exotic samples at least once every two or three years.

As a halfling your 1 shield (5 lbs) & 1 suit of mail (40 lbs (error, plate is 50 lbs)) should be 1/4 of the weight of the other races (page 36) so:

1 shield (1 1/4 lbs)
1 suit of mail (12 1/2 lbs)

Looks good LL. I'll transfer it over the the character sheets thread of you're done with it. You'll need to decide if you're going to take your pony with you into the dungeon, doable, or if you'll leave it in the stables behind the Dragons Apothecary.

Please explain starting gold? I am in the quick character PDF, looking at chart 5, and I can seem to reconcile that chart with the above comment. Secondly, that chart seems to have a built in feature for rolling higher level characters than you are using. So... I must have missed the starting gold post.

Thanks in advance

In his houserules he only indicated that we would use the QCG only for the stat line. Gold was not being generated by the QCG. he was using a houserule that since we were already experienced adventurers that we would use the normal method for rolling starting gold, but multiply it by your PCs level. so a thief is going to make out big and a fighter/mu is gonna get the sharp stick in the eye lol. Thats why he multiplied my gold roll by 2, since my PC is level 2.

If you want me to roll your starting gold it'd look like this.
3d6 (6+3+6)=15(x10)=150(x your character level). Those are the rolls I just made with the dice roller. So if you're a Thief (starting with 8K Xp puts you at 4th level) you'd start with 600gp to buy your equipment. You are not allowed to buy anything magical though.
