cool, I'll update my character sheet. I modified a character I created before, but never actually played it in the PBP it was created for and in the game where I actually did use him (he had several 18s honestly rolled with a 4d6) he died the first night going through a door and hit by 5 bandit crossbow at one time (4 rolled 20s - double damage). The lit oil flask (wicked) I was trying to throw crashed down beside me and burst into flames like a molotov cocktail. It was around 50 hp damage to a 1st level character. I was just a black smudge on the ground with a lump of charred bone in the middle of it.

BTW, here is the best method I have seen of the dm tracking/reporting XP:

JoeCarr uses some sort of table so it looks better on his board.

Can I get some clarification on being a dwarf and using a maul.. I got a +1 maul as my magic weapon and wanted to know if its usable or if I need to trade or sell it..

Page 11 states "Dwarves, due to their stocky powerful builds are able to use medium weapons one handed and some large weapons in two hands, but large weapons more that 4 feet in length are prohibited." You can use a maul (a large weapon) in both hands. Your choice to either keep it or sell/trade it. We have a topic for selling and trading that you can post in.

looking at the weapons list on page 11 and size rules, it certainly looks like you can use a maul with two hands (no shield).

I wanted to say that I actually used the Quick Character Generation supplement to build my backstory. and that Blazeguard hit the jackpot with his stat line .

You actually got that back story from the QCG? That is awesome!

while writing this post I realized in my haste that I read the wrong table on one of my rolls. Instead of "lived on streets no guardian" in childhood and adolescents i should have had "committed a crime of political dissonance" . I like what I thought I rolled better and am keeping it.
