Ok Tree Ant wants to play. I hate turning someone away but I feel like we are finally rolling along. I'll let him know that we're full. :(

Give him access to the forum but tell him he's in the batters box. he can even prep a PC and drop it in the character sheet thread. That way he can watch us if he wants and if someone drops out he will still be around to step in. I would love to add him, but even having 6 people can be heavy in a PBP.

I like the annotated map idea. I might figure out how I can add to it, at some point.

In this situation I have carved off from the main group and am well behind. That's OK. I have a torch lit and am peering nervously south and west. :?

Er...I don't know. Maybe I just wanted to make something happen, and also I figure the statue room looked the most interesting thing in the dungeon so far. Anyway, I suspect I am now about to shot full of manticore spikes.

I just hope they require more than 15' clearance to launch.

As a person who likes to range I would have to say being indoors already accounts for the difficulty of having low ceilings. Thats why the range distance changes to yards outside.

I too thought the pillar room looked cool as well, but I like to have an escape plan and it looked like an easy task to find a passage back to that secret door. And to be honest, this manticore may be a wandering monster and thus likely to have very little treasure. It might be simpler to just cut through the secret door and wait for it to go away. Its not the aggressive macho move, but its an option.

Hyway: I was thinking of recommending we move south through the secret door or try the door just to the north of it. If the door to the north connects to the door to our west we may be able to lure the manticore into a pincer trap. Should we decide to attack it.

Jan: I use this mapping program myself since its GUI based. I have had some success with it in the past.

Thanks MM. I'll look into that mapping tool later on today. This is "dad day" where I get to take care of our 9 month old while mom gets her new tattoo started. *laugh* Hard to make a map while playing with the baby!
