Yes, he is not Gritznak.

Boldol will take the middle watch. Assuming he didn't find a sling along with the bullets from earlier, he'll also spend some time and cut a crude one out of the goblins' leather.

Mumford has just settled in for the first watch when he notices the fur on Bosco's neck and back standing up and Bosco quivering, staring intently towards the hole in the broken wall. Suddenly, 4 kobolds come scurrying through the rubble and freeze as they see you (they are surprised).

Surprise Round
Mumford
(The rest of you are asleep so no actions other than waking/being woken up. I'll assume that Mumford will wake you all in some fashion and that you'll be ready for round 1)

Round 1
Boldol Initiative: [1d6+4] = 4+4 = 8
Sanzaru Initiative: [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7
Pebbles Initiative: [1d6+4] = 2+4 = 6
Kobold's Initiative: [1d6] = 6
Mumford Initiative: [1d6-1] = 6-1 = 5
Alena Initiative: [1d6] = 2

Pebbles slips through the reeds lining the river bank with ease before sliding like an eel into the dark water. He lets himself float, just under the surface, along with the current. He feels himself sinking deeper into the water, so he reaches into the cloth wrapped around his waist and drops out a couple mid size rocks. Now satisfied with his buoyancy, he continues breathing thru a hollow reed. Soon enough he can sense the high stone walls of the Stromberg Keep on the rivers edge instead of the reeds that had lined the river upstream. Aiming for the stone wall, he kicks gently with his feet as to make no splash. Just as he thinks he waited to long his outstretched fingers make contact with the stone and he soon has a secure purchase. 5 more feet and he would have been past the stone.

Slowly he lifts his head just until his eyes breaks the water's surface. He remains that way for long minutes as he surveys his surroundings. Above on the crenelation, he can hear the changing of the guard. He waits more long minutes until all is quiet once more and begins to climb the wall. He goes slow, making sure of every purchase, but eventually he reaches the tall window one floor under the east tower. Easing his eyes above the level of the opening he peers inside. The last coals of the fire shine a dim light, but still the sparkle from the golden armbands and the gems of the heirloom earrings immediately catches his eye. But where is the necklace? He is being paid to retrieve the whole set.

He lifts himself further into the window and listens carefully. No sound. He enters the room and turns to the right and freezes. On the bed, bare of all clothing, lay the scullery maid that he had overheard gossiping about the jewelry. Although her eyes were closed, her fingers lightly caressed the necklace around her neck. A happy, all most erotic smile played across her face. A moan slipped through those rosy red lips. He looked toward the door, bolted from the inside. There was no way she was supposed to be here, not a kitchen wench. He collected the arm bands and the earrings, and then soft footed it to the bed. Looking down he had to admit she was a beauty and magnificently built.

What should he do now, just take the necklace? Or take the necklace and the wench. Just then her eyes opened, saw him and her smiled widened. "I knew you would come," she said.

"Come to me," she pleaded, reaching her arms up to enfold him.

Pebbles lowers himself toward her.

"Oh shit," she moans. "Kobolds, by damned."

Pebbles is momentarily confused. "You will find that I am much bigger than a kobold."

"Not by much, ya stupid halfling. Now get up."

"It is up," he says.

He feels a sharp kick to the ribs. "Get up, dumbass. We have company."

Pebbles opens his eyes to see four Kobolds looking as confounded as he felt. His head clears quickly, the dream evaporating as if it never was.

Alena will get into position, warhammer in hand. "Kobolds, how ugly." She will wait for another member of the party to attack at which point she will throw a hammer at the nearest Kobold.

Pebbles fires off an arrow from his handy bow at a different kobold than the one boldol is attacking, preferably one in the rear section.
