Sanzaru recalls what he says and doesn't recall saying her name. Shrugging it off, he replies, "We are headed to Baleon Nakt, a temple of the Horned One and located just off the Imperial Road to the north."

((entails is a common word and I understood it I just thought that entrails was funny. So I passed on my odd sense of humor))

Eryl quickly agrees to your new plan and sets about disseminating the misinformation around town. Together with your new found members, you gather your gear and head out on your search for Baleon Nakt.

You cross the river near the plateau where the goblins tried to ambush you and then start heading north. The Imperial Road is extremely difficult to locate and follow but knowing what you are looking for you are able to catch glimpses of it frequently enough to know that you are on the right track.

The first day and night pass uneventfully as you make your way across the rocky, scrubbrush covered hills. As noon approaches on the second day you find a quiet, shady overhang under a small cliff to stop and rest for lunch. You have just started a fire and are getting ready to eat when you hear a huge commotion coming from the east. You see and hear a huge grizzly bear rushing through the trees at you from the east.

I'm assuming the bear is the x on the right side of the map. I'm about 4 squares south east of the bonfire, and I grab my spear and set it against the charge. I also shout at the bear, "Come and get it ya' halfwit honey scraper!"

Pebbles is southwest of the fire sitting on a log and leaning his back against a tree that looks to be 10 to 15' away from the fire. He has been contemplating that plateau back by the river and wondering what was it those people were digging for. He has just about decided that if he lives through this journey he might spend a bit of time looking into that when the ruckus to the east disturbs his thoughts. Judging the distance to be short range he whips up his ready bow and looses an arrow.

Sanzaru will wait for the bear to impale itself on Boldol's spear, and follow up with a series of quick blows with his axe.

Mumford is on the South side of the fire when the bear bursts through the trees. He (Mumford, not the bear) casts Flare, aiming for the bear's nose.

Alena draws her shield and a warhammer. She prepares to throw it once the bear comes within range.

Pebbles quickly nocks an arrow and lets fly but the arrow is deflected by the trees and misses the bear.

Both Boldol and Sanzaru brace themselves for the bear's rush. The bear comes charging out of the trees directly at Boldol. The bear is unable to stop and impales itself on Boldol's spear but not before opening a nasty gash on his leg and a bite on his arm. Sanzaru steps up and finishes off the bear with a swift slash to the jugular.

With a prayer to Moradin -- and Boldol permitting but since he's an honorary dwarf I'm sure he'll be ok with this -- Sanzaru will call on the powers of the Lumbering Anvil and heal Boldol's wounds.
