"Boldol, well met. I am Sanzaru Greyhelm, a paladin of the Lumbering Anvil. This is Pebbles, an archer of some renown. We are seeking Gritznak the Bold for the town of Malforten. Gritznak has been raiding the town, and we have made some headway. Come, let us get a private room and we can let you know what we have learned thus far."
OOC: Sanzaru is a paladin, and sensing that Boldol's motives are true, has no qualms giving him the details.

Pebbles looks over the other halfling and senses something strange about his mannerisms. He doesn't come across like the average shire folk, but Sanzaru seemed to take to him right away so he must not be evil.
"Well met, Boldol, like me, you seem to be a long way from the shire. I have been serving as one of our scouts, although it just occurs to me, I know a bit of magic as well. We can use your gift of song with the daggers."

"Aye, a long way from the shire indeed. I once visited my birth-father's home, but felt more kin to my dwarven home. Sanzaru, you say we should retire to a more private place? I'd like to hear more of this Gritznak beast. I've only heard idle chit chat about him through the townsfolk and would like to learn more."

We retire to a private room, Eryl too if interested. Sanzaru then gives Boldol the summary over a few pints of ale:
- We're here to kill Gritznak the Bold and defeat the raiders harassing Malforten (
detail).
- We came across a goblin raiding party and after killing most of the raiders, brought one back to interrogate. We learned of a might evil bit of backstory (
details) about where Gritznak is staying.
- Oh, and the town has a spy for Gritznak. We know who it is.
We just finished the interrogation and wanted to mull the information over a warm ale, when Eyrl introduced us to you.

Boldol considers the new information and asks, "Have we any plans for the spy? I normally prefer to cut down such shifty things, but it might do us well to either follow him or force him to spy for us. Have we found any weaknesses in Gritznak's temple? If there's an army o' Kobolds and raiders, we'll need some advantage to even the odds."

"Boldol, you think like a dwarf! What we decided on was feeding him misinformation until his usefulness expires. And no, we have not yet been to the temple. We just learnt that earlier today." Pause for effect and more ale. "So are ye in?"

Boldol takes a swig of his ale, probably a little more than he was expecting since the cups here are too big. After finishing, he gives the dwarven equivalent of a thumbs up.

"Alright. Anyone think we should hang out in town longer, or should we head to the temple next? Pebbles, you're the most devious of us. Should we tell the spy anything?"

"I believe a spy we know is better than a spy we don't know. We keep him around and just let Eryl keep an eye on him. We could let it be know that we are heading back to the city to seek reinforcement before going out to look for Gritznak to let their guard down. The dark side to that is it might cause ol Griz to move up his attack on the town before reinforcements arrive. At any rate, I am ready to head out."

"Yeah, we don't want to provoke Gritznak. Ideally we get his forces out of the temple but headed the opposite direction."
