Despite himself Mumford runs into the room as well.

The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Mumford will swing at the snake, hoping it will just go away.

Sanzaru steps up and swings his axe but he is unable to locate the snake still hiding within the furs and ends up merely ruining a perfectly good fur.

Sanzaru's Attack (Battle Axe): [1d20+3] = 1+3 = 4

The snake strikes back but is deflected by the furs and misses Sanzaru.

Snake Attack: [1d20] = 7

Bosco lunges at the snake, clamps down just behind its head and begins shaking it back and forth.

Bosco's Attack: [1d20] = 19
Bosco's Damage: [1d4] = 3

Mumford attempts to hit the snake with his staff but is unable to land a blow with Bosco shaking it around.

Mumford's Attack (Quarterstaff): [1d20+1] = 10+1 = 11

Round 2
Pebbles Initiative: [1d6+4] = 6+4 = 10
Sanzaru Initiative: [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6
Bosco's Initiative: [1d6] = 6
Mumford Initiative: [1d6-1] = 5-1 = 4
Snake's Initiative: [1d6] = 3
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

From what you can see the snake is approximately 10' in length and as thick as your upper arm at its largest point.
