Pebbles listens at the door and hearing nothing begins to work on the lock. After several minutes of concentrated effort he steps back shaking his head in frustration, holding a broken lock pick.

Sanzaru steps in and a few well-placed strikes with his axe has the door in shreds.

Mumford continues his vigilance while Pebbles and Sanzaru work on the door. He worries that Sanzaru's efforts on the door will attract attention but waiting for several minutes fails to produce any reactions to the noise.

Hoping that nothing is waiting in ambush, you press on through the demolished door to continue exploring.

As you gain access to the south you enter a short 10' corridor that ends in an intersection heading east and west. 30' to the east is a door and 40' to the west the corridor turns back towards the north.

Pebbles checks out the corridor and then heads east towards the door. Examining the door carefully finds it unlocked and you can't hear any noise coming from the other side.

Not sure what to expect, Pebbles slowly cracks the door open and peeks in.

The door slowly opens to reveal what looks like a bedroom or living quarters of...someone. You see several large chairs, a rickety bed, a table with chunks of meat on it, piles of furs, a keg of ale, and three trunks scattered around the room.

Listening carefully, you can hear a rustling coming from a pile of furs.

Mumford, peeking over Pebbles is able to identify the origin of the sound as a snake hiding in the furs.

Pebbles readies his bow but doesn't enter the room. He waits to see what the others will do.

You don't see any other occupants in the room.

As you stand there checking out the room, all of a sudden Bosco bounds into the room and starts growling and pawing at the pile of furs the snake is hiding in.
