Mumford stays where he is, which should be at the left side of the plateau around 10 yards back from the treeline.

Paladins emanate an aura equivalent to the spell protection from evil (or good, depending on the Paladin's particular faith) in a 10' radius.
Do I need to decide? Isn't it always emanating?

Sorry, yes it is.

Pebbles lets out an exasperated sigh and checks his bow and arrows as his latest shot sails wide...again.

Pebbles' Attack (Short Bow): [1d20+7] = 1+7 = 8

Belle switches back to her bow and moves to 'help' Sanzaru, making sure to keep him between her and the goblin.
Sanzaru shifts positions again and catches the goblin off guard. His battle axe slices into the goblin's side and he slumps to the ground as his life quickly ebbs away.

Sanzaru's Attack (Battle Axe): [1d20+3] = 12+3 = 15
Sanzaru's Damage (Battle Axe): [1d8+3] = 4+3 = 7


The last 2 goblins, finally realizing that the battle tide has turned, begin a full-scale retreat back towards the river.

Round 6
Belle Initiative: [1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8
Sanzaru Initiative: [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7
Pebbles Initiative: [1d6+4] = 1+4 = 5
Goblin 1: [1d6] = 5
Goblin 4: [1d6] = 2
Mumford Initiative: [1d6-1] = 1-1 = 0

On my initiative, I plan to move forward my entire movement rate and fire once more at the retreating goblin 1.

Realizing he cannot catch the other two goblins, Sanzaru will search the corpses for clues -- like a map, journal, etc. just to be clear, no pillaging or looting.

Belle spies goblin 4 over Sanzaru's shoulder and quickly lets an arrow fly. You see the arrow pierce the goblin's torso and he stumbles, then goes down hard rolling a couple of times, but manages to get back on his feet.

Belle's Attack (Long Bow - short range): [1d20+6] = 8+6 = 14
Belle's Damage (Long Bow): [1d8] = 6


Sanzaru begins searching the downed goblins for clues. (It will take at least 4 rounds to search the 4 dead goblins in the area)

Pebbles' bad luck seems to be shifting as his shot also finds its mark although the goblin barely flinches.

Pebbles' Attack (Short Bow): [1d20+7] = 14+7 = 21
Pebbles' Damage (Short Bow): [1d6] = 1


The remaining 2 goblins continue their retreat although Goblin 4 seems to be moving significantly slower now due to his injuries.

Mumford watches the goblin's withdrawal from the safety of the trees.

Round 7
Pebbles Initiative: [1d6+4] = 4+4 = 8
Goblin 1: [1d6] = 6
Belle Initiative: [1d6+2] = 2+2 = 4
Sanzaru Initiative: [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4
Goblin 4: [1d6] = 4
Mumford Initiative: [1d6-1] = 3-1 = 2

Pebbles calls out as he moves forward again, "Try to capture that slow goblin Belle dropped. I am going to try to kill this one to the east before he can get back and tell his boss what happened."
