Now that is just freaky. :o How did you know what I was going to roll?
The skinning part is a bit over the top but your shot was enough to finish the boar off. :)
Short Bow Attack: [1d20+7] = 18+7 = 25+1(short range)=26
Short Bow Damage: [1d6] = 4

After the boar drops for good Belle is going to take another look around. If things seem to be quiet she'll walk over and remove the arrows from the animal and begin the process of cleaning it on the ground. No sense letting good meat go to waste. Besides if nothing happens tonight we can always make some friends by taking the carcass to the inn and donating it, with the provision that we get a free meal and drinks out of the deal.

Hmm, hmmm, hmmmm I do love fresh bacon.

(Belle is perfectly capable of dressing the animal while keeping an ear out for danger. That and the fact that she has plenty of back up close at hand makes the job easier.)

Pebbles preens just inside the cover of the trees and looks at Mumford, "Now thats how you shut up a boar." (It works better when said, rather than written ;) )

He then scans the surrounding countryside once more. If he sees nothing he will use the cover of the forest to move his position away from where he was just in case he was spotted and encourage Mumford to come with him. "We'll need to be extra vigilant now, especially behind us. If anyone saw my arrows leaving from the woods they may try to sneak up behind us. So keep a sharp eye out behind us."

The next 2 nights pass uneventfully but the third evening, approximately 2 hours into her watch, Belle catches sounds of splashing. Perking up, she is able to make out several shapes crossing the river. They exit the river and start heading up the hill towards the campsite.

6 is a lot, better start firing right away .

From the cover of darkness, Pebbles fires at the rearmost attacker with the hope that it might be a killing shot that the others don't notice.

Pebbles lets an arrow fly but he hears a *thunk* as it misses its mark and buries itself in a tree.

Short Bow Attack: [1d20+7] = 4+7 = 11

You hear a surprised grunt and then 4 of the creatures rush towards Belle. (they will close this round but won't have time to attack until next round)

((ooc, does belle get a shot before they rush. I was thinking we would be both firing as they came over the ridge. But I guess I should have said I was waiting for her to shoot.))
