Filibert's target percentage for attempting to wrestle Elena = melee weapon skill (20%) + STR bonus (0%) + Elena's AC (-25% for AC16) = -5%! So basically Filibert needs to roll 01 - 05. Blazeguard rolls 79 - fail.

Elena brushes off the halfling's pathetic attempt, much to the amusement of the onlookers.

Elves really don't like to be touched. At least not this one. Elena decides that this runt needs to be taught a lesson.

Charm person on ... oh crikey, he's a Halfling. She decides to fall back on invisibility (on Elena). She'll settle the score later.

There are gasps from the crowd as the elf disappears. Filibert is most confused.

Targus (believing this is quickly becoming a joke) shrugs his shield into place, pulls his axe off of his belt and starts walking towards Marcus.

It is, but his target percentage will be the sum of his base casting skill (68%), his relevant ability bonus (INT = +5%) and the difficulty of the spell (1st level = -10%), for a total of 63%. Make sense?

As his bolt flies wildly Marcus yells "Sorry!" almost as much to Targus as to the spectators.
Seeing Targus approach Marcus drops the crossbow and swings his shield and warhammer in place.
