For a particular setting's devil, I am trying to find a picture of a Tolkien Balrog that I once had, and I am uncertain of the artist. As opposed to the lava dinosaur of Howe and Jackson, this was a black, almost angelic man of significant size (but not T-Rex sized) with a sword that was red hot (as opposed to wreathed in flames) and had shadows that looked like wings. This is 110% my preferred version of the Balrog, and I think it fits the Tolkien description better (not only the words in the book, but the idea of a fallen angel), but I cannot recall the artist or where it appeared. Can anyone help me track this illustration down?
It's not this one: https://www.deviantart.com/farflinger/a ... -872798308
But that is closer to the illustration I'm thinking of than the Howe/Jackson version.

This one? It doesn’t fit your description exactly, but it’s as close as I can find. There’s a lot more flame in this one.

Indeed, this forum is for sharing art that can be used with BFRPG. However, this kind of discussion is okay in General Discussion, so I'll kick it over there.
