Lol so i went to the store to buy some Denatured alcohol for my alcohol lamp for smoothing clay...one website also mentioned trying De-solve-it...which was only an 'order by request' product at Walmart...but next to the denatured stuff, I saw some Goo-be-gone...it LOOKED the same and was in the same department...let me tell you, now I'm a believer...not only did it work better than the denatured alcohol but it was way easy to use with some cheap nylon brushes...smoothed Sonja right out... the torch was a bit annoying, as somehow some black soot or something got on her left cheek and now looks like a beauty mark (too lazy to fix it yet) . Still so much to do on the arms and other parts but i wanted to try my hand at smoothing. Loving sculpting!

Thanks brother; Made a meh shield and axe today (been under the weather for a while). Making tools look real in clay is far harder than faces...I realized I could spend another YEAR re-proportioning her and making a ton of corrections, but there are other things to work on and try to learn. I can see how this hobby can take more than the 10,000 hours most skills take to really master. Shoulda started it 30 years ago, haha! So, onto the back shelf she goes.
