Last you saw of Bill, he was in the stables.

Remember the scribbled map? https://www.dropbox.com/s/nvcpn300ttkaf ... ap%201.png

That might help.

Also, what all did you take from the altar, besides the coded scrolls?

Galen remarks as everyone gets their packs ready to depart, "Perhaps we should check on this Bill over by the stables on our way out?"

OOC: Otherwise, I am ready to move things along. Feel free to railroad me towards the next logical locale... methinks we might chat about "getting ready to leave" for days. ;)

Muddle took the several clay pots sitting in cubbies, four glass vials, an ornate silver-handled dagger, and two scroll cases.

Retrieving Bill (who was getting travel gear and some "horse tools" together, you review your options.

The cook (Oleg) is fairly clueless about what lies to the west - he knows there are several human and mixed settlements to the east, plus Lakeford, a good week's hike to the south. There has to be a goblin cave to the southeast - wayyyy too many raiding parties are coming from that area, cutting into the bandit's profits.

Bill knows that Stonefall is definitely up the north road, but the bandits were not sure exactly where. The dwarves did have a trading post about 2 days to the north, but last he heard it was abandoned. The Stonefall Dwarves were rather secretive about their mines.

All of this is to the east - past the crossroads. You would need to cut cross country to get avoid Red's group.

The Kobold (Racht) tugs Galen's sleeve and points to the hills to the West and says (in Goblini)"Lots of peoples that way. My tribe-mines are in that area. We do good trade with the Goblins, and there's a couple of new Orc-nests. Whole tribes, not just a raiding party. They're coming out of the Northwest." Pointing to the draconic whorl-script, he mutters something about "an old fortress that a group of humans have taken over."

OOC: I'm leaning towards Lakeford. Vote?

Yeah, that sounds like a good place to re-supply and re-group.

Hamish is indifferent, and will go wherever the party goes.

If Galen agrees it's Lakeford then. :)

Galen nods in agreement, and then gestures towards the kobold, "we may need to take some precautions to keep our little friend secret."

Galen speaks in goblini (trying to approximate what he can of the koboldish dialect), "We will be heading into a human settlement, so we will need to be careful for your safety. You understand what can happen if you wander from our protection?"
