Should anything happen, Galen will drop the mirror and revert back to playing his defensive tune.

With the extra sunlight, the 'anteroom' is more clearly lit. The three doors sport fancier brass hardware, with a vining pattern pressed and tooled in for decoration. The brass plaque on the door opposite simply reads "Tullman."

As Muddles inspection of the table and lamp: It is an old but well made brass lamp, with a dusty glass globe. The table is likewise old, but well made - a better quality of furniture than you've seen so far. You do not find any signs of danger or mischief around the lamp.

Muddle steps back carefully and returns to the hallway and says, "Saeloria, what do you mean its a trap? I can't see anything wrong with the lamp. I did see a odd light from the handle of the Tullman door, but I want to know what you know before I move to investigate it."

Saeloria sighs, "I apologize. Perhaps our current situation has set my nerves on edge. I could see that the wick was set to light and with the locked door and everything else that is going on, I immediately thought the worst. If everyone stands back I can try lighting the lamp from out here to see if anything happens."
If everyone agrees, she will cast ignite on the lamp in an attempt to light it.

Assuming no protest, the ignite spell lights the lamp. Now brightly lit, the small room shows further signs of richer make: the woods used are finer quality than below, and at one time had a fine finish to them. As with the rest of the inn, wear and lack of upkeep have taken their toll.

Muddle moves back into the room and inspects the tullman door closely looking for traps, especially where he saw the flicker of light, something suspicious there. If no traps are found he will check to see if the door is locked, if it is, he will try to pick it.

Seeing that the mirror-holding job is no longer necessary, Galen carefully puts his mirror piece down and gets his mandolin positioned for play again.

If lockpicking is needed, Galen will resume the measures that aid this endeavor. If something jumps out, Galen will get a battle tune going again (AC). All the while, Galen keeps towards the rear of the group.

Selene moves to the door as well.

"I hope you don't mind" she says to Muddle.

She will observe Muddle working and will generally stay out of the way, but will point out anything she feels might have been overlooked.

Both Muddle and Selene easily find the source of the flash - where the rest of the handle is brushed and tarnished with use, there is a shiny spot on the knob, where a hole has been cut through. The perfect set-up for stabbing someone's hand. Prodding lightly, it feels like there is a needle inside.

"You saw that, right?" Selene asks Muddle. She judges the trap and will attempt to disarm it if she feels it is within her skill.
