Chapter 1: Wherein the Protagonists Meet at an Inn

From where she stands (is she still behind Hamish and Muddle?) Selene peers in to see what Saeloria means.

Muddle, in accompaniment with his dance partner, Hamish, finds himself facing the open doorway once more. He steps forward without breaching the entrance and inspects the doorway, the door, the floor immediately in front of the door and the ceiling above. He sniffs the air for anything out of the ordinary. He'll then look toward the lamp and table to see how the trap is set up and how it would be triggered. He'll motion for anyone with a torch to move back (which I don't believe we have any lit) .

Nothing feels amiss at the first door, or it's surrounds. There is an odd smell in the air- a trace of some sickeningly pungent incense, but nothing volatile.

You take the elf's word that it is a table, and approach cautiously. It's sort of dark - you'll need a little more light to investigate further.

Muddle returns to the hall and looks into the other rooms to see if there are any mirrors in any of the rooms. If there are he will arrange them so that they reflect light into the small room with teh table, then carefully go back in and investigate the table.

There are a couple of serviceable decent sized and not entirely broken mirrors that would work, if you could get some of these layabouts to hold them up for you.

muddle grabs Saeloria and galen and puts them in position to hold the mirrors.

Galen simply follows the lead of Muddle, as clearly he seems to have a plan to inspect the room.
Should anything happen, Galen will drop the mirror and revert back to playing his defensive tune.

Selene gets out of the way of Muddle and the Mirror-holders.

If Hamish is handed a mirror, he'll grunt sagely and do his best to keep it on target.

Saeloria quickly helps Muddle position the mirrors.
