Regarding the Play-by-Post

Post Mon Jul 06, 2009 9:16 am

I occasionally read through some of the pbp game folks are playing. Although each player has their icon (or some do), it seems like it would be ideal if everyone had a thumbnail/pic representing their character that they could place into the relevant posts. In fact, npcs could easily be represented by a quick pic as well.

There are countless pics that could be used from various pc games such as Baldur's Gate, NWN, etc that can be utilized for a humungous variety of pc portraits. Locating one, and post the pic into the cast of characters... then link back to that pic each time.

It might take an extra minute, but I think it would enhance the experience a little. Just my small observation.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

I'm not against it... the forum supports uploading pictures. I just don't have ready a source of such images.

Here is where I usually get character portraits I insert in character sheets : http://www.kirith.com/

There is also a nice name generator.

But it is not a very active site any more, so it would make sense to enjoy it quickly, while it lasts...

I like this idea, it would allow everyone to get a better idea of just what you were thinking when you created your character, but at the same time, not everyone will be wanting to take the extra time to find a picture to use either.
