1d2 can be resolved by flip of coin or d-any (odd = 1, even = 2), or d-any (1 through half the total of the die = 1, other half =2).

1d3 = d6 (1-2 =1, 3-4 =2, 5-6 =3), or d6 (half result rounding up), or similar divisions via d12 (1-4, 5-8, 9-12).

d5 = d10 (1-2=1, 3-4=2... etc. you get the point).

there are other weird die rolls like 2-20 via d8+d12 so that the median roll is expected (often used in some encounter tables).

Bear in mind also, that there are specialty die for some of these such as d6 numbered as 1 to 3 twice, etc. So you could spend cash for such, but it isn't really necessary.

Gamescience actually makes a three sided (plus some rounded bits) die. It also does rock-paper-scissors.

I'd just use a d6, divide by two, round up.

1d2, flip a coin. I used to keep a 100 peso coin in my dice bag for just that purpose.

You can accomplish a d2 with a d4 in the same manner you use a d6 for d3 and a d10 for d5.

1d2= a Penny, Quarter, or Nickel Heads=1, Tails=2
Or you can just throw a 1d4 1-2=1, 3-4=2 or a 1d6 1-3=1, 4-6 = 2

1d3= Use a 1d6.. 1-2=1,3-4=2, 5-6=3

For 1d2 you divide the dice roll or decide odd is 1 and even is 2.

1d4 = 1-2 is 1, 3-4 is 2
1d6 = 1-3 is 1, 3-6 is 2
1d6 = 1-2 is 1, 3-4 is 2, and 5-6 is 3.

This method can be used for larger dice but not really needed.

Or you can modify some old d6s like i did.
