Castlevania are one of my favorite games, basically you are a vampire-hunter from the Belmont bloodline (but other games uses different characters like the Bloodlines game or the ones you use Alucard).
Castlevania is the name of the cursed living castle.
Dracula is the main villain but depending on the game he could not appear (sometimes he's dead).
Every hundred of times the balance of light/darkness, good/evil changes to the evil side and Dracula or his castle appears, some other times the castle appears bi its own will or summoned by Dracula's cultist or minions.Due to the fact that Dracula has mastery over Death (the spirit/god) he can't really die.
IIRC Dracula's currently reincarnated as a guy named Soma Cruz (who has the power to absorb monsters sous) and Castlevania was hidden on the moon's shadow or something like that.
Originally the first Belmont fought Dracula alongside prof. Van Helsing, but i believe this gas erased from the game history.
I just realized theres a picture comparison but it isn't the Castlevania picture....
Castlevania and Ravenloft seems to go "by the hand" taking some references one from the other...

Oh I know about Castlevania. One of my old gaming buddies never shut up about it. I was talking about the copy/paste shot of Dracula/Strahd and the castle. I wonder how that came to pass.

Ravenloft I6 -> 1983
Castlevania II -> 1987
So... the guys from Konami "used" that picture, no wonder why, Ravenloft started as a stand alone adventure but was such a hit that it evolved into a setting itself.

Indeed. In scored a regular series, in spite of having a lackluster sequel. They went all out with the story weaving, and lots of feelies, but it still felt like we were just along for the ride.

Are we talking about Ravenloft, Castlevania, Metal Gear or all three?
